Nevada Division of Wildlife (NDOW) creel census clerks report that boaters are having good success for stripers in the Vegas Bay area in the vicinity of Black and Sand Islands at Lake Mead.

Anglers using anchovies are landing fish that average 19 inches.

Shore anglers fishing with anchovies at Hemenway Harbor left of the handicap dock are landing stripers that range 12-14 inches.

Shore anglers fishing in the early mornings and evenings report good success for stripers in Cottonwood Cove. Anglers using anchovies were successful landing stripers that range from 10-15 inches in length.

NDOW rainbow trout plants continue on Fridays.

However, the trout have become more active with the drop in water temperature.

Anglers that fished Cold Springs Reservoir reported good success for rainbow trout and largemouth bass. The trout averaged 15 inches in length and were taken with flies and lures. The largemouth bass measured 11-12 inches in length.

Shore anglers fishing Haymeadow Reservoir still find it difficult to gain access due to weed growth. Boaters are having better success landing trout that average 15 inches.

Temperatures are in the upper 60s during the day and upper 20s during the night.
