Ex-Rebel Richardson makes Globetrotters

The Harlem Globetrotters broke their 14-day training camp in Prescott, Ariz., this week with 30 players selected to wear the fabled red-white-and-blue uniforms of the Hall of Fame team. Among the new players to join the Ambassadors of Goodwill is former Runnin' Rebel Chris Richardson.

Richardson, a 6-6, 190-pound forward averaged 9.1 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game for UNLV as a senior in 2001-02. He finished the season second on the team in rebounding, third in blocked shots (17), third in steals (43) and fourth in scoring. He led the Mountain West Conference in field goal percentage at .565.
