Charlton Hankson
School: Eldorado
Class: Junior
Sport: Football
Last week: Hankston, a fullback, picked a great time to bust out for the Sundevils. Hankston ran for 75 yards and four touchdowns in Eldorado's first win of the season Friday, a 26-14 triumph over Rancho. Hankston scored on short runs, all less than seven yards, as Eldorado recovered four pooch kickoffs to set up great offensive field position. "He's a big, strong kid and he got off," Eldorado coach Dave Castro said. "He wanted to play and he played hard." Hankston also recorded 11 solo tackles as a linebacker for the Sundevils.
Jenn Todd
School: Green Valley
Class: Senior
Sport: Volleyball
Last week: The Gators girls volleyball team is in the midst of another stellar season, and middle blocker Todd is a huge reason for the success. "She's been doing a great job," Green Valley coach Erin Hill said. Last Thursday, Todd recorded 18 kills to lead the Gators to a quick three-game win over Foothill. Hill said that Todd is asserting herself at the net this year, and that is making all the difference. "Definitely, her confidence level has increased from last year," Hill said.
