Anthony Duke Allred

Anthony Duke Allred, 41, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 21, 1961, in High Point, N.C. A resident for 32 years, he was a fiber optics technician and active in bicycle motocross.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Marie; two sons, Adam Alexander Allred and Dylan Duke Allred, one daughter, Amanda Anne "Bobbie" Allred, his mother, Carol Duke Allred, and one brother, Stephen Wayne Allred, all of Las Vegas; and his grandmother, Mary Duke of High Point, N.C.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Virginia A. Anthonisen

Virginia A. Anthonisen, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 17, 1925, in San Diego. A resident for 32 years, she was a retired school bus driver.

She is survived by three daughters, Jeanne Anthonisen and Virginia Lee Adams, both of Las Vegas, and Charlotte Anthonisen of Eugene, Ore.; one son, Ted Anthonisen, and one brother, James E. Hilliard, both of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Dorothy Beckwith

Dorothy Beckwith, 77, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 17, 1925, in Queens, N.Y. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired bookkeeper for an electrical firm.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons, Lane Beckwith of Las Vegas and Bruce Beckwith of Long Beach, N.Y.; her mother, Frances Orenstein of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

Marvin Cabang Cantorna

Marvin Cabang Cantorna, 34, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 5, 1968, in the Philippines. A resident for five years, he was a carpenter for GES Expo Services.

He is survived by his wife, Desiree; one daughter, Reelana Marie Cantorna, and two sons, Mason Nicholas Cantorna and Marvin Cantorna Jr., all of Las Vegas; his parents, Murphy and Angie Cantorna, three sisters, Mercy Ann Bumanglag, Madelyn Cantorna and Marjorie Cantorna; and his grandparents, Margarita Cantorna and Naty Cabang, all of Honolulu.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Saturday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.

Bessie Jean Carder

Bessie Jean Carder, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 23, 1917, in Scraper, Okla. A resident for 15 years, she was a sales clerk and a card member at the Horseshoe and the Hilton.

She is survived by one son, Claude Carder Jr. of Los Angeles.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Monday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Chapel. Interment will follow in Eden Vale Mausoleum.

Louis B. Denaburg

Louis B. Denaburg, 93, of Las Vegas died Oct. 10. He was born May 27, 1909. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired newspaper distributor.

He is survived by his companion, Ruth Lambert.

Robert Brown Elliot

Robert Brown Elliot, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 3, 1930, in Ann Arbor, Mich. A resident for six years, he was a retired teacher.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth S.; three sons; and six grandchildren.

Catherine E. Ellis

Catherine E. Ellis, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 20, 1927, in Goldsboro, N.C. A resident for seven years, she was a retired executive assistant and a member of Dillard Alumni.

She is survived by two daughters, Janice W. Barkley of Las Vegas and Ramona Jocelyn of Cambia Heights, N.Y.; two sons, Alben T. Barkley and Dennis R. Barkley, both of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Nellis Baptist Church, 4300 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Joyce H. Hurd

Joyce H. Hurd, 75, of Boulder City died Tuesday in Boulder City. She was born Feb. 1, 1927, in Great Yarmouth, England. A resident for 29 years, she was a retired inspector for an electronics manufacturer.

She is survived by her husband, Robert L.; two sons, James Hurd of Las Vegas and Robert W. Hurd of Lancaster; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

James Lauver

James Lauver, 45, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 25, 1956, in Nagoya, Japan. A resident for 38 years, he was a surgical instrument technician, a former Navy corpsman and a veteran of the Marine Corps Reserve.

He is survived by his mother, Mitsuko, and one sister, Bonnie Murtaugh, both of Las Vegas; and three brothers, Isamu Yoshida of Redwood City, Calif., Jan Lauver of Las Vegas and Dennis of Ventura, Calif.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Sunrise Cremation & Burial Society, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 5, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Louise LeClair

Louise LeClair, 92, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 28, 1910, in Mesquite. A lifelong Southern Nevada resident, she was a homemaker and a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

She is survived by one daughter, Joanne Barrett of St. George, Utah; three sons, Eugene Bruce Dimick, Patrick LeClair and Michael Dewane LeClair, and two sisters, Zina Barnum and Ethel McAnally, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Norman Barnum of Ogden, Utah; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Margaret R. Lopez

Margaret R. Lopez, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 27, 1933, in Cuba, N.M. A resident for 63 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Ray Archuback of Phoenix and Victor Lopez of Las Vegas; eight daughters, Vickie Banegas, Margaret Concenieda, Emily Garcia, Delores Rivas, Terry Lopez, Carol Lopez, Patricia Miller and Josie Lopez, and two sisters, Mary Aguilar and Emma Cole, both of Las Vegas; 32 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Edith (McCarthy) Bergsten Isham Merkle

Edith (McCarthy) Bergsten Isham Merkle, 89, of Emmaus, Pa., died Wednesday in Emmaus. She was born in Hartford, Conn. A former Las Vegas resident, she was a retired claims supervisor for the Connecticut Department of Labor, a member of the Griswoldville Chapel Ladies Aid Society, the Society of the Descendants of the Founders of Hartford, the Wethersfield Community Players, the Wethersfield Grange, the Wethersfield Historical Society and the Monday Menders, and was a thrift shop volunteer for the First Church of Christ in Wethersfield.

She is survived by one son, Robert Lewis Bergsten of Las Vegas; four daughters, Joanne Bergsten Milne and Virginia "Ginne" Isham Clark, both of Glastonbury, Conn., Priscilla Isham Williamson of Columbia, Conn., and Lorraine "Laurie" Isham Yankovich of Emmaus; two sisters, Shirley McCarthy Tinkler of Reisterstown, Md., and Florence McCarthy Rob of Unionville, Conn.; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, Wethersfield, is handling arrangements.

James Vincent Milione

James Vincent Milione, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 17, 1921, in Ohio. A resident for 47 years, he was a musician and member of the Musicians Union.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three sons, Thomas, James and Gary; two daughters, Gayle and Debra; three sisters, Antonette, Theresa and Mary; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11:40 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Alberta C. O'Keefe

Alberta C. O'Keefe, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 19, 1915, in Burlington, Wis. A resident for 41 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Willard "Bill"; two daughters, Allyson Sasgen and Maura Watral, both of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Ronald Keith Payne

Ronald Keith Payne, 66, of Pahrump died Sunday in Pahrump. He was born Oct. 13, 1936, in Madison, Wis. A resident for two years, he was a retired Postal Service employee and a member of the Moose in Pahrump.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; one son, James Payne of California; two daughters, Laura Pickler of Pahrump and Diane Goodrick of Arizona; one sister, Beverly Shuck of Arizona; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Pahrump. Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road.

Sebastian Andres Raimundo

Sebastian Andres Raimundo, 25, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 14, 1977, in Alaska. A resident for 17 years, he was a dealer at the Barbary Coast.

He is survived by his father, Jose Raimundo; his mother, Marta Guariglia-Fernandez; one sister, Audrey Raimundo; and his grandmother, Marta Gimenez.

Visitation was scheduled 1-3 p.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Steven Edward Rodgers

Steven Edward Rodgers, 55, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 8, 1947, in South Dakota. A resident for 26 years, he was a chief executive officer for a tax service, a Vietnam War Army veteran, a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and Nevada Society of Enrolled Agents.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Joyner-Rodgers; one son, Kevin Joyner; one daughter, Michelle Savage; and five grandchildren.

Gary Stumbaugh

Gary Stumbaugh, 57, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 1, 1945, in Frederickstown, Mo. A resident for 24 years, he was a truck driver for a freight line and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Karey Crowl and Kristen Ladanyi, both of Las Vegas; one son, Keith Stumbaugh of Henderson; his mother, Maxine Stumbaugh of Tucson; two brothers, Jerry Stumbaugh of Tucson and Steve Stumbaugh of Globe, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.
