Election 2002: State Treasurer

Incumbent Republican Brian Krolicki is after a second term. He has administered the Millennium Scholarship and other college-savings programs.

His office recently found $30 million buried in state programs that is being used to ease the state's financial problems.

His Democratic opponent, former state Treasurer Ken Santor, a former Republican, has failed to mount an active campaign.

The Independent American candidate is Mark Andrews, vice president of lending at Clark County Credit Union.

He promises to deliver "secure management" of the money in the treasury.
