Voters will choose among three candidates: Republican Warren Hardy, Democrat Adriana Martinez and Independent American Leon Catlett.
Hardy, 38, is an ex-assemblyman and longtime lobbyist. He is focusing on fiscal accountability of government and accountability in education spending.
Martinez, 38, is a photographer who has been active in the Parent Teachers Association. She said she wants to cut costs of medical care for seniors and increase education funding.
Catlett, 40, is a custom woodworker who has served on the Republican Party Central Committee in Clark County. He is interested in land-use issues, health and education.
