StumbleAgassi escapes upset bug in Madrid event

Las Vegan Andre Agassi powered into the third round of the Madrid Masters by beating qualifier Jan-Michael Gambill 6-4, 6-4, while Andy Roddick, Tim Henman and top-seeded Tommy Haas all lost.
Haas quit because of blisters on his right hand while trailing Fabrice Santoro, 10th-seeded Roddick was eliminated by unseeded Mikhail Youzhny, and the fourth-seeded Henman lost to Paradorn Srichaphan.
