Dario Herrera and Jon Porter have raised a combined $3 million so far in their 3rd Congressional District race.
Herrera, a Democrat and chairman of the Clark County Commission, has raised $1,577,045 for his campaign through Oct. 15, according to a Federal Election Commission quarterly report filed Tuesday.
Porter, a Republican former state senator, has raised slightly less at $1,518,710 for the entire campaign.
Each candidate raised just under $200,000 for the quarter, but Herrera has twice as much cash on hand as Porter going into the last three weeks of the campaign.
Herrera's report shows $161,400 remaining after expenses compared to Porter's $82,000.
Independent candidate Pete O'Neil raised $3,650 this period for a total of $11,714 and has $750 cash on hand.
In the 1st Congressional District race, incumbent Democratic Rep. Shelley Berkley has more cash on hand than Republican challenger Lynette Boggs McDonald has raised for the entire election.
Berkley raised $122,924 for the current period to bring her campaign total to $1,733,119. She reports $886,698 cash on hand.
