Fund-raiser will feature Anderson

The Boys and Girls Club of Henderson presents "An Afternoon With Bob Anderson and Friends," a luncheon fund-raiser at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Club Madrid inside Sunset Station.

The event will feature singing impressionist Bob Anderson, entertainer Clint Holmes and comedian Carol Siskind.

Golf clinic set Saturday for kids

The Las Vegas Founders and Cox Communications will host the Cox Communications Junior Golf Clinic at 4 p.m. Saturday at TPC at Summerlin as part of the weekend's festivities at this year's Invensys Classic.

The clinic, which is free to the public, is designed to provide a fun and informative setting in which professional golfers from the Invensys tournament will introduce the fundamentals of golf to Southern Nevada youth.

Hispanic Day parade scheduled

The Boricua Association of Las Vegas present its third Hispanic Day parade at 10 a.m. Saturday beginning at Fourth Street and Coolidge Avenue.

The parade will give Southern Nevadans the opportunity to experience Hispanic cultures in the community, as well as participate in the celebration of Hispanic Heritage month.

The parade will be followed by a music and food festival at the Rafael Rivera Community Center, 2900 Stewart Ave.

Memphis Championship Barbecue

and Santa Fe Station will hold a fund-raising event from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. today through Sunday to support childhood cancer patients and programs such as Camp Cartwheel and Active Outdoors. Bike Tour will be held Saturday and Sunday to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Desert Southwest Chapter.
