Breast cancer event planned
Home Depot is partnering with City of Hope to present Walk for Hope to Cure Breast Cancer at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at the University of Las Vegas to raise breast cancer awareness.
The walk, held in cities across the United States, attracts thousands of participants each year to raise funds for groundbreaking breast cancer research and treatments.

Learning for Life golf event on tap
The third annual Learning for Life ladies only golf tournament will tee off at 8 a.m. Monday at Red Rock County Club.
Following golf, a buffet lunch will be served for all players, which will include a fashion show of golf wear from Talbots, a door prize giveaway and silent auction.

Easter Seals will hold its
10th annual "Under The Sea" play house auction beginning at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at The Mirage, to benefi the Developmental Child Care Center, a program designed for families and children with developmental delays. Call Angie Wallin at 870-7050, Ext. 26.
The 21st annual Las Vegas Basque Festival
will be noon until 5 p.m. Sunday at the Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza in Lorenzi Park. The festival will feature authentic Basque food, dancing, weight lifting and a wood chopping exhibit. Call 361-6458 or 270-9199.
