Lorraine Bachar

Lorraine Bachar, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 22, 1929, in Chicago. A resident for 15 years, she was an accountant in the testing industry.

She is survived by two sons, Dan Bachar of Stevenson Ranch, Calif., and John Bachar of Mammoth Lakes, Calif.; two sisters, Ruth Arguilla of Chicago and Jean Propelka of Los Angeles; and three grandchildren.

American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.

Sadie Burns

Sadie Burns, 79, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 16, 1923, in Altona, Manitoba. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired cosmetologist.

She is survived by five sisters; and one brother.

Visitation was scheduled until 5 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Grace Community Church, 1150 Wyoming St., Boulder City. Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Eugene John Cloete

Eugene John Cloete, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1929, in Johannesburg, South Africa. A resident for six years, he was a retired company secretary in the mining industry and past president of the Rotary Club in South Africa.

He is survived by his wife, Beryl 'Nan'; one daughter, Lynn McMullan of Las Vegas; one brother, Art Cloete of South Africa; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

The family suggests donations to Artma Pediatric Brain Tumor Research, c/o Charlotte Lawson, 6822 S. Forest St., Centennial, Co. 80122.

Charlotte R. DeBiaso

Charlotte R. DeBiaso, 71, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Sept. 20, 1931, in Minneapolis. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired film distributor.

She is survived by her husband, Roy A.; two daughters, Cheryl Stark of Agoura, Calif., and Lynda Dubinsky of Northridge, Calif.; one son, David Dubinsky of Eagan, Minn.; one sister, Helene Worsley of Henderson; and four grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Ronald W. Froelich

Ronald W. Froelich, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born Jan. 14, 1935, in Erie, Pa. A resident for 4 1/2 years, he was a retired electronics engineer.

He is survived by one son, Daniel R. Froelich of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Marietta B. Haguisan

Marietta B. Haguisan, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A nurse, she was born Feb. 20, 1932, in the Philippines.

She is survived by four sisters, and one brother, all of the Philippines.

Visitation was scheduled until 5 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Entombment will be in Eden Vale Mausoleum.

Betty Jean Jacobsen

Betty Jean Jacobsen, 51, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A schoolteacher, she was born Jan. 25, 1951, in Omaha, Neb.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Larry Young of Las Vegas; two brothers, Tim R. Jacobsen and Terry Jacobsen, both of Omaha; and one sister, Linda Albrecht of Evergreen, Colo.

Services will be 5 p.m. Thursday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Omaha.

Hefziba Lazcano

Hefziba Lazcano, 18, of Las Vegas died Saturday. She was born June 27, 1984, in Mexico City. A resident for 14 years, she was a former member of the Palo Verde Concert Club, Latin Liquids dance group and was attending Euphoria Institute of Beauty, Arts and Sciences.

She is survived by her parents, Maria and Jorge Lazcano, and two brothers, Abraham Lazcano and Georgy Lazcano, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Carlos and Maria Gomez of Las Vegas and Leonor Lazcano of Mexico City.

Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. vigil today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled 10:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday followed by Mass in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive.

Jerry Manuel Martinez

Jerry Manuel Martinez, 27, of Henderson died Saturday in Ely. He was born Sept. 19, 1975, in Boulder City. A lifelong resident, he was a restaurant supervisor.

He is survived by one son, Ryan Martinez, and his parents, Manuel and Bonnie Martinez; two brothers, his twin, Joseph Martinez of Henderson, and Matthew Martinez of Lyme, N.H.; his companion, Monica Canul of Las Vegas; and his grandfather, Norman Ottaway of Henderson.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

James Bradley Saulson

James Bradley Saulson, 53, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 17, 1949, in Long Beach, Calif. A resident for three years, he was a shipping clerk for the county of Los Angeles and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie; three daughters, Elizabeth Macaheleg and Heather Saulson, both of Las Vegas, and Jennifer Dobbs of Glens Falls, N.Y.; one son, Jerome Macaheleg of Las Vegas; two brothers, Robert Saulson of San Francisco and Donald Saulson of Arlington, Va.; and two grandchildren.

Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Cora W. Schultz

Cora W. Schultz, 91, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. She was born Feb. 16, 1911, in Dolton, Ill. A resident for two years, she was an accountant for Acme Steel in Riverdale, Ill.

She is survived by one son, the Rev. Dr. Robert Schultz of Michigan; one daughter, Loretta Erickson of Henderson; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Illinois. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Mathilda Starks

Mathilda Starks, 65, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 7, 1937, in Luxembourg. A resident for seven years, she was retired from the Department of Defense.

She is survived by one son, John A. Starks IV of North Las Vegas; one daughter, Sylvia Hollifield of Atlanta; two sisters, Aurelia Devos Schmit of Luxembourg and Raymond Eischen of Belgium; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Friday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Ronald Thomas Staub Jr.

Ronald Thomas Staub Jr., 34, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 1, 1968, in Orange, Calif. A resident for five years, he was a retail general manager and a member of the Brunswick Bowling League.

He is survived by his wife, Shawn; his father, Ronald T. Sr.; his mother, Virginia Staub; one son, Anthony Staub; and three sisters, Shirley Noble, Virginia Heminger and Brenda Carter.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
