Helen Iva Brown
Helen Iva Brown, 54, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 12, 1948, in Florida. A resident for seven years, she was a supervisor for a base commissary.
She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Edward; two sons, Henry and Gilbert II; four daughters, Elizabeth, Ruth, Danielle and Brandy; two brothers, Tandy and Richard; and 12 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Thursday at the Nellis Air Force Base Chapel. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
William H. 'Timer' Cooper
William H. "Timer" Cooper, 79, of Pahrump died Thursday in Pahrump. He was born Jan. 24, 1923, in Valley Junction, Iowa. A resident for five years, he was a retired Air Force master sergeant and a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran, a member of Daylite Lodge 44 F&AM, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Aircraft Owners Pilot Association and was the first casino host at the Four Queens.
He is survived by his companion, Diana; seven children; three brothers; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Sederra Precious Daniel
Sederra Precious Daniel, 12 days, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 21, 2002, in Las Vegas.
She is survived by her parents, Derrick E. and Ivory L. Daniel, and one sister, Derrica Daniel, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Wade and Gilda May of Las Vegas and Bonnie and Andrea Daniel Jr. of Louisiana.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Elbert L. Essary
Elbert L. Essary, 50, of Henderson died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 26, 1952, in Illinois. A resident for nine months, he was a sales representative of office equipment.
He is survived by his mother, Beverly Essary of Scio, N.Y.; his father, Howard Essary, and one sister, Beverly Essary, both of Albany, N.Y.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Albany. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Florence D. Estabrook
Florence D. Estabrook, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. A homemaker, she was born May 22, 1927, in Boston.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; one daughter, Marion Lacasse of Las Vegas; one son, James Moro of Milford, N.H.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in Odyssey Health Care, 4011 McLeod Drive. Sunrise Cremation & Burial Society, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 5, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Sandra Jeanette Friedman
Sandra Jeanette Friedman, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born June 10, 1946, in Houston. A resident for 37 years, she was a county housing manager.
She is survived by her husband, Mark; one son, Aaron Friedman of Las Vegas; and one sister, Debra Shelton of Cedar City, Utah.
Visitation is scheduled 1-3 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. Thursday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Joan Punton Geary, 83, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born Dec. 21, 1918, in Kansas City, Mo.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Geary of Henderson and Thomas W. Geary of Seattle; one sister, Lucile Kastner of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be 4 p.m. Friday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson.

Cletus C. Gibson, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 23, 1920, in Montrose, Colo. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Stockton of Las Vegas; two sons, Charles Gibson of Napa, Calif., and Steven Gibson of Lakewood, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow at noon Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

She is survived by seven sons, Thomas Griffin, Jesse Griffin, Jerry Griffin, Edmond Griffin, Loren Griffin, Johnny Griffin and Jimmy Griffin, and one sister, Cil Miller, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Duane Phillips of Stevensville, Mont.; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon until 2 p.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Robert C. Hall
Robert C. Hall, 79, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 16, 1923, in Grant City, Mo. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired power company manager and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; one daughter, Sharon Grauman of Henderson; one son, Ronald C. Hall of Las Vegas; two sisters, Jeannette Chalfant of Whittier, Calif., and Quete Harding of Hesperia, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, handled arrangements.
Charles R. Hammock
Charles R. Hammock, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 17, 1922, in Louisville, Ky. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired casino manager, a World War II Navy and Coast Guard veteran and a member of the International Order of Foresters.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; one daughter, Bonnie Pfersching of Las Vegas; two sons, Charles R. Hammock Jr. of Louisville and Michael E. Hammock of Las Vegas; one sister, Dorothy Westwood of Louisville; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 12:30 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Betty Jean Jacobsen, 51, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 25, 1951, in Omaha, Neb. A resident for 20 years, she was a schoolteacher.
She is survived by her longtime companion, Larry Young of Las Vegas; two brothers, Tim R. Jacobsen and Terry Jacobsen, both of Omaha; and one sister, Linda Whitted of Evergreen, Colo.
Services will be 5 p.m. Thursday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Omaha.
Bob Jestic
Bob Jestic, 57, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 13, 1944, in Illinois. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired truck driver, a member of Teamsters Local 631 for 14 years and a member of the National Hot Rod Association.
He is survived by two sons, Phil Jestic and Bobby Jestic, and one sister, Diana Blasko, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be noon Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Tony LaScala, 74, of Boulder City died Friday in a local care center. He was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Sardinia, N.Y. A resident for eight years, he was a retired automobile manager.
He is survived by his wife, Reldine "Jeri"; one daughter, Sandy McNearney of Visalia, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Juan; three sons, Javier of North Las Vegas, Roberto of Las Vegas and Martin of Stage Coach; three brothers, Luis Valdivia of San Diego, Juan Pulido of Los Reyes and Saul Valdivia of Tijuana, Mexico; one sister, Hema Pulido of Guadalajara, Mexico; and 15 grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd.
Virginia Lydia Morphy
Virginia Lydia Morphy, 86, of Henderson died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born May 20, 1916, in Leetonia, Ohio. A resident for 32 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Violet Fletcher of Henderson and Florence Setter of Las Vegas; one son, Bill Morphy of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Richard Grant Otten, 40, of Pahrump died Friday in Pahrump. He was born Jan. 31, 1962, in California. A resident for three years, he was self-employed.
He is survived by his wife, Tabatha; one baby, Puppers; three brothers, Bennie Otten, Robert Otten and Tim Otten, and one sister, Elizabeth Waite, all of California.

Betsy Hall Priestly, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 10, 1932, in Fairfield, Iowa. A resident for 37 years, she was a retired waitress at the Sahara hotel.
She is survived by her husband, Glen; four daughters, Jackie Hinderliter, Mary Lorenz and Sue LaMont, all of Las Vegas, and Pat Fabio of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Janavee "Jenny"; five daughters, Rhonda Eads of Redlands, Calif., Annie McCarty of San Leon, Texas, Gwen Polzin of Drake, Colo., and Jill Sheets and Linda Corney, both of Las Vegas; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; one son, Donald Allen Williams of Reno; four sisters, Martha Nell Reed, Nelle Presson and Rachel Arrington, all of Tennessee and Tommie Jean Isenberg of Texas; four brothers, Jesse Williams and Joe Williams, both of Tennessee, Charles Williams of Pennsylvania and Jerry Williams of Mississippi; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters, Joyce Welding Redcay of North Las Vegas, Susan Wilson Robinson and Debbie Loerakker, both of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Judy Wilson of North Las Vegas; one sister, Marion Callaway of North Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
