General manager leaves post

Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002 | 11:20 a.m.

The general manager of the Las Vegas Strip's Sahara hotel-casino, Chuck Hunsucker, has resigned from his position.

Hunsucker was replaced this week by Larry Serna, who has worked for Sahara owner Bill Bennett since Bennett bought the property in 1995. Serna also worked for 10 years under Bennett at Circus Circus Enterprises, the company Bennett co-founded in 1974.

Calls about Hunsucker were referred to Serna, who said Tuesday he did not know why Hunsucker left or where he has gone.

Hunsucker, a former casino shift manager, had worked at the Sahara for about seven years and had been general manager for about five months.
