Kathe E. Byrne
Kathe E. Byrne, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born March 19, 1920, in Hanu, Germany. A resident for 53 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara James of Las Vegas and Bonnie Johnson of Tampa, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 5190 S. Valley View Blvd., Suite 101, Las Vegas, NV 89118.
Loretta Jeanne Ehrig
Loretta Jeanne Ehrig, 56, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 27, 1946, in California. A resident for 27 years, she was a retired waitress and a member of the Fibromyalgia Support Group and Arthritis Foundation.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest; one son, Jeffrey Donovan; one daughter, Laura Taccone; two sisters, Cheryl Luke and Lisa McLean; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Marjorie S. Halstead
Marjorie S. Halstead, 61, of Las Vegas died Sept. 15 in Las Vegas. She was born March 29, 1941, in Johnson County, Kan. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired business owner and vice president of the Las Vegas Lhasa-Apso Club.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel; one daughter, Paige Miley of Las Vegas; one son, John Miley of California; and two grandchildren.
Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling private arrangements.
Gladys R. Harley
Gladys R. Harley, 65, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born June 25, 1937, in Haledon, N.J. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, James; one daughter, Robin Lamb of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, Diane Cirpoli, and two stepsons, James Harley Jr., and Jerry Harley, all of New Jersey; and four grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.
Sharon R. Humphries
Sharon R. Humphries, 61, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 7, 1941, in Harrisburg, Ill. A resident for 12 years, she owned and operated a real estate company.
She is survived by her husband, Geoffrey; three daughters, Bobi Whinery of Kennewick, Wash., Luann Mitchell of Redlands, Calif., and Janet Baumgartner of Chino, Calif.; four brothers, Col. Jim Williams of Orange, Calif., Don Williams of Huachuca City, Ariz., Lynden Williams of Buhl, Idaho, and Michael Williams of Sun Valley, Idaho; two sisters, Wilda Cerny of Huachuca and Lorna Lazovsky of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Road. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Arthur E. Kwasniewski
Arthur E. Kwasniewski, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 7, 1919, in Chicago. A resident for 22 years, he was a truck driver, World War II Army veteran, and member of the Southern Nevada Teamsters Retiree Association.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; four sons, Wayne Kwasniewski and Water Kwasniewski, both of Las Vegas, Howard Kwasniewski of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Dennis Kwasniewski of Glendale Heights, Ill.
Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St., followed by a private burial.
The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Suite 140, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
William Langen
William Langen, 83, died Sept. 13 in Las Vegas. Born May 24, 1919, in Scranton, Ark., he was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his companion, June Tilton of Las Vegas.
Services will be 10:40 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Chapel, Boulder City. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Inez M. Leonard
Inez M. Leonard, 98, of Las Vegas died Sept. 18 in Las Vegas. She was born May 21, 1904, in Perth, N.D. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker and member of the Foresters.
She is survived by one son, Curtis E. Leonard of Las Vegas; and many grandchildren.
Services were held in Oregon. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.
James H. McGee
James H. McGee, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 14, 1941, in Paris, Ark. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired painter.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons, Gary McGee of Fridley, Minn., and Dale Collin of Las Vegas; two daughters, Deanna Fischer of Athens, Ga., and Shannon Wardle of Las Vegas; one brother, Neil McGee of Fort Lucie, Fla.; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Robert Leon Montgomery
Robert Leon Montgomery, 84, of Lass Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 29, 1918, in Worthington, Mo. A longtime resident, he was a retired maintenance worker and Navy veteran.
Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Arlene Ann Peluso
Arlene Ann Peluso, 53, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born May 23, 1949, in Chicago. A resident for 15 years, she previously owned Starboard Tack and Scoreboard Lounge.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; her mother, Lena Giampietro, and one sister, Linda Panek, both of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave., followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Mary 'Baba' Swingle
Mary "Baba" Swingle, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 29, 1929, in Frackville, Pa. A resident for four years, she was a retired saleswoman.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Swingle of Las Vegas and Charles Swingle of Murrieta, Calif.; one daughter, Patricia Walters of Seminole, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Edward G. Van Pelt
Edward G. Van Pelt, 87, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born April 7, 1915, in Joplin, Mo. A resident for 12 years, he was a tool engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian; one son, Robert Van Pelt of Tuscany Hills, Calif.; one daughter, Marilyn Ortega of San Diego; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until noon services Thursday in Calvary Community Assembly, 2900 N. Torrey Pines Drive, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Rex Elmo Welker
Rex Elmo Welker, 81, of Pahrump died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 7, 1921, in Wilford, Idaho. A resident for 19 years, he was an airplane mechanic for Lockheed Aircraft and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Alma; one son, Rex E. Welker Jr. of California; eight grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Thursday in the Pahrump LDS chapel, followed by burial in Grandview Cemetery.
