Art, baskets
"Every Picture Tells a Story," original art published in children's books from the California Gallery, runs through Wednesday at Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave.
Also at the library's atrium are a variety of Everett Pikyavit's baskets created in the Paiute tradition through today. 507-3630.

Engineering
The American Society of Civil Engineers presents a civil engineering exhibit, "Ask the Infrastructure," which is on display through Jan. 3 at the Paseo Verde Library, 280 S. Green Valley Parkway. 492-7252.
Furs, gowns
Women of Diversity present a screening of "Judy Bayley: First Lady of Gambling & First Lady of Charity" along with a display and auction of her furs and gowns at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Elks Lodge, 4100 W. Mobile Graceland
