Letter: King George bound for war
Friday, Nov. 29, 2002 | 8:57 a.m.
During the second World War, when it became known that the Nazis were trying to build an atomic bomb, in our best interest to outdo them, all the great minds from the universities and industry were assembled with one goal.
If our current leaders wanted something besides controlling all the oil in the world so there could only be one government, we would have a similar assemblage of great minds coming up with a solution to power our automobiles and power companies with hydrogen.
Think of an endless supply of seawater moving our industry and the only pollution being steam or fresh water deposited into the atmosphere. Our rivers and lakes would all benefit, and the oil sheiks would be returned to a state of nomads.
No matter what we want, King George is going to start a war to control oil. As it was said before, if we don't learn from history, history will repeat itself.
