Ronald Lawrence Alvarado, 59, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 8, 1943, in Brighton, Colo. A resident for 35 years, he was a gaming technician.

He is survived by one son, Anthony Alvarado of Las Vegas; and two daughters, Veronica Schneider and Sandra Broome, both of Las Vegas; and 11 grandchildren.

A vigil will be 6 p.m. Friday and Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, both in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 Torrey Pines Drive. American Cremation and Burial Services, 310 Foremaster Lane is handling arrangements.

Robert Thomas Blake

Robert Thomas Blake, 71, a resident of Henderson for five years, died Sunday in a local hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Verna; four daughters, Bianca Laine Bunch of Martinsburg, Va., Roberta Lynn Kauska of Denver, Deborah Ann Blake of Henderson and Desiree Leone Blake of Shrewsbury, Mass.; and seven grandchildren.

Gina Rowan Bridenbaker

Gina Rowan Bridenbaker, 38, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 14, 1964, in Las Vegas. She was a construction account clerk.

She is survived by one son, Jon J. Bridenbaker and one daughter, Heather Bridenbaker, both of Las Vegas; her mother, Patti Rowan of North Las Vegas; her father, Donald Rowan of Reno; three sisters, Jennifer Rowan of North Las Vegas, Lori Inman of Reno, and Venessa Rowan of Bountiful, Utah; and one great-grandmother, Rose Rowan of Bountiful.

Services will be 5 p.m. Monday at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Charles Q. Brown

Charles Q. Brown of Las Vegas died Nov. 18 in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 6, 1919, in Sault Sainte Marie, Mich. A resident for one year.

He is survived by three sons, Warren, Raymond and Ted; and one daughter, Sarah.

Orville Earl Burks

Orville Earl Burks, 66, of Las Vegas died Nov. 17 in a local care center. He was born Oct. 21, 1936, in Texas. A resident for 15 years, he was a welder, member of Welders Association 409, Plumbers and Pipefitters and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Shean Burks; and three daughters, Alice Elaine Burks of Las Vegas, Mary Burks, and Michelle.

Dorothy 'Peppy' Chambers

Dorothy "Peppy" Chambers, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born June 30, 1918, in Chicago. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired manager and a member of the Las Vegas Bridge Club.

She is survived by four daughters, Kathy Cole of Reno, Terry Scott of Sacramento and Patti Nadolski and Sue Chambers, both of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled until to 5 p.m. today, with a 4 p.m. rosary, in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave.

Malcolm George Danser, 52, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. Born Nov. 15, 1950, in Florida, he was a retired park ranger for the state of Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; one brother, Russell Danser Jr., of Florida.

Tillie Domino, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born June 17, 1928, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired cashier.

She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Barbee of Las Vegas; one son, David Domino of Henderson; and three grandchildren.

Washington S. Edwards

Washington S. Edwards, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 22, 1925, in New Madrid, Mo. A resident for two years, he was a retired carpenter, a World War II Navy veteran and a Mason.

He is survived by his wife, June S. Edwards; one son, Dwayne A. Edwards of Lombard, Ill.; three daughters, Pamela J. Henegar of Manassas, Va., Kathleen A. Smith and Patricia L. Edwards, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Betty Raymon of Glen Ellen, Ill.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. is handling arrangements.

Aksel Erling

Aksel Erling, 80, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. He was born Nov. 27, 1921, in Ordrup, Denmark. A resident for 45 years, he was a baker and World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Vicki Atwood of Henderson and Leslie Holland of Las Vegas; one son, Michael Erling of Paul, Idaho; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Jacqueline J. Frost

Jacqueline J. Frost, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Elgin, Ill. She was born Aug. 22, 1936, in Chicago. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired commercial artist, a member of the Sun City Art Club, the Sunshine Club, and the Sun City Hospital Volunteers.

She is survived by her husband, Frank J. "Sonny"; one son, William E. Pichler of California; one brother, Frank Becker of Elgin; her stepfather, George Popelka Sr.; two stepbrothers, George Popelka Jr. and Bruce Popelka; two stepsisters, Evelyn Swanson and Florence Anderson; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Burial will be in Boulder City. Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St. Elgin Ill. is handling arrangements.

Lady Mae Gooch, 93, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 14, 1909,in Commerce, Mo. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Rose Peres of Gary, Ind.; one sister, May Belle Young of South Haven, Mich.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Harriet Greenstein, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 25, 1920, in DuBois, Pa. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired saleswoman.

She is survived by one son, Gerald Greenstein of Jamestown, N.Y.; two daughters, Nancy Gabor of Amsterdam and Cheri Greenstein of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Doris Jean Hains

Doris Jean Hains, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 8, 1942, in Saline County, Mo. A resident for 34 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, George; her mother, Frances Lamkin, and one brother, Gerald Murphy, both of Slater, Mo.; and two sisters, Cathryn of Marshall, Mo., and Jeannet Holtz of Slater.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by burial in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Jeremiah 'Jay' Hebron

Jeremiah "Jay" Hebron, 25, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 30, 1977, in Honolulu. A resident for six years, he was a security guard.

He is survived by one daughter, Felicia Marie Pilcher-Hebron, and his parents, Oscar and Almeda Hebron, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Jennifer Hebron-Encabo of Anchorage, Alaska; and his grandmother, Catalina Mahusay of Mclean, Va.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. services Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Beulah F. Hodgson

Beulah F. Hodgson, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 26, 1918, in Pekin, Ill. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired teacher and a volunteer for Senior Dimensions.

She is survived by three sons, Richard Luft of Palm Desert, Calif., and Tom Luft and Thomas Hodgson, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Ronall Jolly of East Peoria, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Donald R. Howard

Donald R. Howard, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Witeman, Va. A resident for 11 years, he was a chemical engineer and Korean War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Garnett Howard; one daughter, Jada Howard, one son, Donald Howard Jr., and one stepdaughter, Mimi Ayers, all of Chicago; one brother, John B. Howard of Washington, D.C.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 6670 W. Cheyenne Ave., followed by a private burial. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Renee Jaffe

Renee Jaffe, 51, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 28, 1951, in Chicago. A resident for 15 years, she was disabled.

She is survived by her mother, Helen Jaffe, and one brother, Lon Jaffe, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11:30 a.m. services Friday in King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 Eldorado Lane, followed by burial in King David Cemetery.

David John Lamb

David John Lamb, 55, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born May 30, 1947, in Detroit. A resident for 13 months, he was a retired police officer and Vietnam War veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

He is survived by two daughters, West Bloomfield, Mich., and Lisa Lamb of Las Vegas; one son, David Lamb of Dearborn Heights, Mich.; and four brothers, Donald Lamb of Sterling Heights, Mich., Keith Lamb of Guatemala, Kenny Lamb of Kentucky and Harold Pesola of Elkhart, Ind.

Services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Leo Licht

Leo Licht, 78, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born July 11, 1924, in Hillside, N.J. A resident for five years, he was a retired dental technician and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; one son, Tina Kern of West Orange, N.J.; two brothers, Saul Licht of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Irving Licht of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.

Severino S. Obsuna

Severino S. Obsuna, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 8, 1914, in Buhi, Philippines. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired carpenter.

He is survived by eight daughters, Abisinia O. Suyat of Las Vegas and Helen O. Francisco, Eunice O. Bragais, Noime O. Dacer, Ana O. Castillo, Loida O. Laab, Celestia O. DeLos Reyes and Lorelie O. Dela Cruz, all of the Philippines; one son, Abner O. Obsuna of the Philippines; 41 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two sisters, Millie Besore of Lacey, Wash., and June Clare of Chehalis, Wash.

Michael F. Price Jr., 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born in Madison, N.J. A resident for 13 years, he was employed at the Excalibur hotel, and was a member of the Culinary Union.

He is survived by one daughter, Diane Murray of Bergen County, N.J.; two sisters, Margaret P. Cassidy of Cape May, N.J., and Susanne Lee of Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Sharon Kranich of Las Vegas; three sons, Jeffrey Schwartz and Howard Schwartz, both of New York, and Gregory Schwartz of Las Vegas; one brother, Bernard Schwartz of New York; and one grandchild.

Mattie Pearl Taylor, 78, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. She was born Feb. 18, 1924, in Waverly, Texas. A longtime resident, she was a homemaker.

John W. Thompson

John W. Thompson, 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born June 14, 1930, in Marshall, Texas. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired trainer, mentor and Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Terry J. Thompson of Los Angeles; four daughters, Dornice McClam of Manassas, Va., Paula Collins of Fayetteville, N.C., Lee A. Underwood of Las Vegas and Janon R. Rogers of Lebanon, Ore.; one sister, Gwendolyn R. Mills of Marshall, Texas; two brothers, John Edward Thompson of Riverside, Calif., and Gary Lloyd Thompson of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James; one son, Kevin Wheeler of Michigan; two daughters, Debra Niesler of Connecticut and Lynn Wheeler of Michigan; and four grandchildren.
