Wind settles down, but so does temperature

The winds that whipped through the Las Vegas Valley on Monday won't return this week, but high temperatures are expected to stay around 60 through the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
The temperature dipped and the winds picked up Monday as a cold front moved into valley, pushing warmer than usual weather away for at least a few days, National Weather Service spokesman Brian Fuis said.
The peak wind gust at McCarran International Airport on Monday was 44 mph, Fuis said. The wind will drop to about 10 to 20 mph through Thanksgiving, and the rest of the week should stay dry, he said.
Raindrops fell Monday, but less than one-one hundredth of an inch of precipitation was recorded. Light snow flurries fell on Mount Charleston during the day, Fuis said.
The high temperature Monday was 58 degrees, and the low was 50.
