Fry's Electronics Inc. of San Jose, Calif., which operates 20 consumer electronics stores in California, Texas, Arizona and Oregon, plans to open its first Las Vegas store next month at Interstate 215 and Las Vegas Boulevard South.
"Around here, Fry's is nirvana for geeks," Jed Kolko, analyst for Forrester Research, told In Business Las Vegas, a sister newspaper to the Las Vegas Sun. Manuel Valerio, a spokesman for Fry's, told In Business that the store will offer "just about anything you can imagine in retail consumer electronics."
The store's inventory will include software, CD and DVD titles, televisions, home appliances, books and magazines in addition to computer components and systems.
