Eugene Raymond Anderegg, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 4, 1926, in Kansas. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired truck driver and a World War II Navy veteran.

James Austin
James Austin, 48, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 5, 1954.

Kenneth M. Brennan
Kenneth M. Brennan, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 14, 1923, in Chicago. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired bus driver, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by one sister, Marilyn Brault of Idaho.
Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Bonnie Best
Bonnie Best, 61, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 1, 1941, in Van Nuys, Calif. A resident for 41 years, she was a retired hairdresser.
She is survived by his companion, Rich Lupcho, one daughter, Diana Gifford, and one son, Leo Howeson, all of Las Vegas; her mother, Dollie Johnson of Antelope, Calif.; four sisters, Leona Mae Webb of Rocky Mountain, N.C., Leota Rae Mitzel of Pine Tops, N.C., Nancy Lorraine Agusto of Rohnart Park, Calif., and Susan Nicolaisen of Antelope; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Nick P. Cook, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 7, 1931, in Ottawa, Kan. A resident for 22 years, he was a glass worker.
He is survived by his wife, Christine; two sons, David Cook of Illinois and Kurt D. Miller of Nevada; two daughters, Debbie Commings and Kathy Cook, and two brothers, John Cook and Joseph Cook, all of Illinois; three sisters, Mag Nelson of Arizona and Rose Inman and Margaret Ann Gunderson; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

David Couce, 43, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 22, 1958, in Pennsylvania. A resident for five years, he was a computer operator.
He is survived by his mother, Alicia Couce of California; and one brother, Jeffrey Couce of Simi Valley, Calif.

Eileen Roselyn Feranda
Eileen Roselyn Feranda, 43, of Las Vegas died Sept. 26 in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 22, 1959, in Las Vegas. A resident for many years, she was an inspector for the state highway department.
She is survived by one daughter, Nichole Feranda, and one brother, John Britz, both of Las Vegas; four sisters, Donna Logan and Janet Shaw, both of Las Vegas, Marilyn Britz of Oregon and Shirley Fields of Colorado.

Frank Flamand
Frank Flamand, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born Sept. 21, 1919. A resident for six years, he was a retired accountant for an oil company and a Dutch air force World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Elwiene; three sons, Tim Flamand of Long Beach, Calif., John Flamand of Wisconsin and Francois V. Flamand of Lake Forest, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd.
Vicki Lynn Gallenberger
Vicki Lynn Gallenberger, 52, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 8, 1950, in Dallas. A resident for four years, she was a desk clerk at Budget Suites.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; four sons, Richard Morris of South Haven, Miss., Michael Morris of Mansfield, Texas, Daniel Phillips of Hawaii and Wayne Gallenberger Jr. of Carrolton, Texas; three daughters, JoAnne Roberts of Sanford, Fla., Jennifer Gallengberger of Austin, Texas, and Stacy Gallenberger of Sacramento; her father, Richard Granbery, and one brother, Craig Granbery, both of Wichita Falls, Texas; and six grandchildren.
Burial will be in Texas. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Susan M. Graynom
Susan M. Graynom, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 12, 1933, in Braxton County, W.Va. A resident for 11 years, she was a machine operator for Electronic Manufacturing, an employee at Bailey Meter in Euclid, Ohio, and a member of the YMCA.
She is survived by two sons, Ernest L. Selman of Las Vegas and Boyd F. Selman of Luray, Va.; three brothers, Wes Varney and Ray Varney, both of Enid, Okla., and Mark Varney of Cranberry Ridge, W.Va.; two sisters, Ann Barnett of Birch River, W.Va., and Helen Robinson of Detroit; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Herman L. Holmes
Herman L. Holmes, 93, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born July 4, 1909, in Eagle Lake, Texas. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired Nevada Test Site custodian and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ledonia M. French-Holmes; one stepdaughter, Khadijah of Atlanta; and three stepsons, Alton of Phoenix and Maurice and Antoine, both of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Charley Hoy, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 6, 1926, in Jefferson City, Mo. A resident for eight years, he was a retired real estate salesman for 30 years and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Diane Ecklund of Bakersfield, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Carla J. Huestis, 41, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 30, 1961, in San Jose, Calif. A resident for 32 years, she was a convention worker and a member of the Teamsters Union.
She is survived by her father, Frank Huestis of Jamestown, Calif.; her mother, Mary Halliday, and one sister, Julie Huestis, both of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Bhari James
Bhari James, 2, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 27, 2000, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his mother, Joslyn Hall; his father, Brian James; and one brother, B'Kari James.
Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Grace Immanuel Baptist Church, 805 W. Bartlett Ave., followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.
Tariq Zia Khwaja
Tariq Zia Khwaja, 49, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 1, 1953, in Lahore, Pakistan. A resident for 15 years, he was a restaurateur.
He is survived by two sons, Kaleen Zia Khwaja and Yousef Zachary Khwaja; four daughters, Sara Selena Khwaja, Nyla Selena Khwaja, Khrista Elizabeth Khwaja and Serena Rani Khwaja; two brothers, Fahim Khwaja and Tasheen Khwaja; and three sisters, Wajiha Butt, Asama Butt and Fakhara Butt.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Jama Mas Jid Mosque on Desert Inn Road. Burial will follow in Davis Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Michael Lindsey, 51, of Las Vegas died Sept. 23 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 3, 1951.

Gloria Mahanay
Gloria Mahanay, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 28, 1932, in Torrington, Conn. A resident for 32 years, she was a retired waitress.
She is survived by four daughters, Cheryl LaFountain and Loretta Lehmann, both of Torrington, and Kathleen Lehmann and Sandra Lehmann, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Billy Karam of Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Monday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
Alaivaa Mamea
Alaivaa Mamea, 63, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 16, 1939, in Samoa. A resident for eight years, he was a retired machinist in the steel industry and a member of the Samoan Federation of the United States.
He is survived by his wife, Tavai; six daughters, Falo Kennedy of Las Vegas, Asolelei Umi of Los Angeles, Rosa Fagan of Palm Springs, Calif., Tasi Burgess of Sacramento, Tusi Cyr of Fairfield, Calif., and April Hernandez of Riverside, Calif.; five sons, Pati Mamea of North Las Vegas, Mu Mamea of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Fereti Mamea and Sonny Mamea, both of Riverside, and Peter Mamea of Sacramento; five brothers; four sisters; and 29 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 5 p.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the LDS Goldcrest Ward chapel. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd.
Clara Manor
Clara Manor, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 11, 1911, in Crossett, Ark. She was a resident for 56 years.
She is survived by one son, Charles Cason; two daughters, Cynthia Johnson and Raeshaun Manor; one brother, Lee Cason; one sister, Rivers Cason; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Victory Missionary Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave.
Alma Moore
Alma Moore, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 19, 1924, in Colorado. A resident for 38 years, she taught school for 30 years at Wasden Elementary.
She is survived by one niece; and two nephews.

Mary J. Ortiz, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born May 1, 1928, in Iowa City, Iowa. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; one son, Jerry Moore, and three daughters, Barbara Hodgson, Karie Newton and Elsie Johnson, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Charles Shaub of Earlimart, Calif., and Paul Hruska of Rochester, Minn.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Edsel Paulk, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 17, 1922, in Vernon, Texas. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired machinist, a World War II Army Air Corps, a full-time minister for 12 years at the Bonanza Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses and was a member of the Song Writers Guild.
He is survived by a host of friends.

Margie Lucille Petty, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 27, 1923, in Iowa Park, Texas. A resident for 12 years, she owned and operated a portrait studio.
She is survived by her husband, Robert D.; one daughter, Jeanie Pauline Bykowski; and three grandchildren.

Richard M. Saxe, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 27, 1932, in Chicago. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired musician.
He is survived by one son, David Saxe of Las Vegas; two sisters, Susan Saxe-Clifford of Encino, Calif., and Myrna Saxe of Topanga Canyon, Calif.; and one grandchild.

He is survived by one daughter, Tammy Schultz, one son, Don Dalton, his parents, Mary and Theodore Schultz and four brothers, Rich Schultz, David Schultz, John Schultz and Ted Schultz, all of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Leajoan Schultz, 59, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born July 23, 1943, in Nebraska. A resident for five years, she was an executive assistant.
She is survived by one son, John Schultz of Utah; and one daughter, Elizabeth Smith of Nevada.

Joseph Francis Venturella, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. He was born Aug. 6, 1918, in Pennsylvania. A resident for many years, he was a retired salesman, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks and was president of the Holy Name Society at St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary L.; one daughter, Mary Lou Anderson of Lincoln City, Ore.; one son, Robert Venturella of Columbus, S.C.; and six grandchildren.
Services will be 4 p.m. Sunday, with visitation until 7 p.m., in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. Monday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Beverly Fife Woods
Beverly Fife Woods, 81, of Salt Lake City died Tuesday in Salt Lake City. She was born Oct. 12, 1921, in Salt Lake City. A former Las Vegas resident, she worked for Utah law enforcement and Nevada juvenile corrections and was a member of the first all-women team to raft the Colorado River in 1961.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Hollinger; and two brothers, Robert M. and Bill Fife.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; three daughters, Cathy Banks of West Valley City, Utah, Vickie Abbott of Sparks and Bonnie Brayfield of West Jordan, Utah; 20 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. McDougal Funeral Homes, Salt Lake City, is handling arrangements.
