Marvin Leon Banks
Marvin Leon Banks, 59, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 25, 1943, in San Jose, Calif. A resident for 41 years, he was a journeyman sign hanger for YESCO Sign Co. and a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 357.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; four daughters, Dawna Crouch and Marva Stevens, both of Las Vegas, Denise Henderson of Spanish Fork, Utah, and Danielle Oler of Farmington, N.M.; one son, Eric Marvin Banks of Las Vegas; three sisters, Tammy Davenport of Atwater, Calif., Donna Bendo of Pitkin, La., and Tamera of Idaho; seven brothers, Kenny of Shreveport, La., Allen of Indian Springs, Robert of Fremont, Calif., Melvin of Henderson, Chuck of Livermore, Calif., and Larry and Leo, both of Berkley, Idaho; and 20 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Additional visitation is scheduled 90 minutes prior to a 10 a.m. service Tuesday in the Relief Society Room at Christy Meadows LDS Ward. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Robert Capobianco
Robert Capobianco, 78, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Chicago. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired brick mason and a member of Masonry Local 21.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; one daughter, Lana Civitello of Henderson; one son, Robert E. Capobianco of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; one brother, Joseph Capobianco of Niles, Ill.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday with a 4 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Gerd Henseler
Gerd Henseler, 65, of Henderson died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 19, 1937, in Germany. A resident of Henderson for 14 years, he was a master mechanic and retired business owner.
He is survived by his wife, Heidi; two daughters, Regine and Martina, both of California; his mother, Isle, two brothers, Klaus and Dieter, and two sisters, Helga and Renate, all of Germany and Ireland; and three grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. California services are pending. Sunrise Cremation & Burial Society, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 5, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Edward J. Kane
Edward J. Kane, 51, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 8, 1951, in Youngstown, Ohio. A resident for 30 years, he was an executive chef and instructor at a vocational school, a member of Fraternity of Executive Chefs and the American Culinary Federation.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene E.; one son, Francis E. Kane, and two daughters, Kelly Anne Kane Franco and Katie Marie Kane, all of Henderson; his mother, Suzanne Kane of Boardman, Ohio; three sisters, Shelly Kane of Akron, Ohio, Mary Frances Nagel of Boardman and Juda Mauerman of Crawford, Texas; and three brothers, John Kane and Joseph Kane, both of Boardman, and Paul Kane of Salem, Ohio.
Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Lester Paul Leeson
Lester Paul Leeson, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local health care center. He was born Dec. 14, 1922, in Parkersburg, W.Va. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired carpenter and World War II Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Cookie; one brother, Ernest Leeson of Baltimore; three sisters, Alice Ballinger of Florida and Mary Auxier and Nellie Weaver, both of Baltimore; two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Shirley L. Navarro
Shirley L. Navarro, 66, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 26, 1935, in Tyler, Texas. A resident for 11 years, she was a hotel administrator.
She is survived by three sons, Ray Mentzel of Whittier, Calif., Dewayne Mentzel of Las Vegas and Karen Benoit of Houston; one son, Kevin Mentzel of Chatsworth, Calif.; one sister, Claudette Flynn of Las Vegas; two brothers, James Breitling of Wyoming and Ben Hayden of Seattle; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Jones.
Alfonso E. Santos
Alfonso E. Santos, 86, of Las Vegas died Nov. 12 in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 19, 1915, in Bulacan, Philippines. A resident for three years, he was a retired government metal inspector and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marina; two sons, Richard Santos and David Santos, and one brother, Filipe Santos, all of California; one sister, Julie Ugat of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Graveside services will be 12:40 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Jamie Rose Sartino
Jamie Rose Sartino, 26, of Las Vegas died Friday. A dancer, she was born June 23, 1976, in Las Vegas.
She is survived by one son, Anthony Phillip Sartino, her father, Natale James Sartino, her mother, Arlene Hess, and one brother, Phillip Natale Sartino, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Francine Rose Sunday of Las Vegas, Anthony Sartino of Rockford, Ill., and Tim McGrath of Berlin, Md.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
