Friday, Nov. 15, 2002 | 11:14 a.m.
A state employment organization will help the 1,200 Las Vegas-based employees of National Airlines with unemployment information and job searching next week.
Nevada JobConnect, a statewide employment network, will meet with airline employees that were laid off when the company ceased operations last week Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The organization, which will meet with former National employees at Cashman Center, will offer employment and training assistance. Organizers said unemployment insurance claims won't be taken at the sessions, but information would be provided.
