Congregation Ner Tamid Sisterhood will hold a fund-raising dinner to honor Ed Nigro as the temple's first "Mensch of the Year" at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Four Seasons. The ninth annual lighting of the Ethel M Chocolates Botanical Cactus Garden will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at One Sunset Way, and will run from sundown to 10 p.m. through Jan. 5. From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturdays, Santa will visit with children. Admission is free. 737-3100.
