Letter: Matrimony is a big joke here
Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002 | 9:13 a.m.
The voters of Nevada have spoken and have decided that a gay couple getting married is a bigger sin than divorce, welfare fraud, illegitimacy, child abuse and spousal abuse.
It's also wonderful to know that in Nevada, you can pull up to a window and have a fake, fat Elvis join you in holy matrimony. After the ceremony, you and your bride and your parents, if you know who they are, can go to a casino to celebrate. While there you can lose your mortgage and car payment.
The voters of Nevada can have their institution of holy matrimony. What a joke!
