Oh sets record but UNLV slips to second

UNLV freshman Sunny Oh shot a school-record 70 and leads the field at the Las Vegas Founder Women's Collegiate Showdown following second-round play at Anthem Country Club.
Playing in just her fourth tournament as a collegian, Oh was on pace to shoot 68 before back-to-back bogeys on 16 and 17. Her two-under par score betters the 71 carded by teammate Hwanhee Lee earlier this year and goes down as just the second sub-par round in school history.
The Rebels also broke the school mark for a team round, firing a three-over 291, but lost their position atop the leaderboard to New Mexico, which had a five-under par 283 and leads UNLV by five strokes heading into today's final round.
