John F. Adams

John F. Adams, 47, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 22, 1955, in Tennessee. A resident for two years, he was a clinical application specialist for a medical ultrasound company.

He is survived by his life partner, Ann Hashimoto; one brother, Jim Adams Jr., and one sister, Susan Adams, both of Brentwood, Tenn.

Services and burial will be in Tennessee. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, is handling arrangements.

Roger Williams Bancroft

Roger Williams Bancroft, 90, of Las Vegas died Nov. 6 in a local hospice. He was born July 14, 1912, in Dayton, Ohio. A resident for seven years, he was a retired teacher, a member of the Lions Club and the American Contract Bridge League, a professor at Portland State University and was with the Ford Foundation in Bandung, Indonesia, and Amoseas Oil Co. as a consultant in Jakarta, Indonesia, and the World Bank.

He is survived by his wife, Grace; four daughters, Jane Prittie Bowman of Bethesda, Md., Ann Bancroft of Myrtle Beach, N.C., Susan Manning of Independence, Kan., and Remember Bancroft of Las Vegas; one son, Roger Williams Bancroft II of McLean, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Las Vegas Lions Club.

Elsie Tegtmeier Busselberg

Elsie Tegtmeier Busselberg, 89, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 3, 1913, in Weddinghofen, Germany. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker, served a church mission in Fresno, Calif., and served in many LDS leadership positions.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Paul of Las Vegas and Evonne Sharpe of Cheyenne, Wyo.; four sons, Lorin Busselberg, M.D., of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., Mark Busselberg of Milwaukee, Brent Busselberg of Hartland, Wis., and Bryan Busselberg of Columbus, Ind.; 32 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11:30-12:30 p.m. Thursday in the LDS Cedar Creek Ward at Sloan Lane and Alcott Avenue, with services at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Milwaukee. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Oliva Cardona

Oliva Cardona, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. An administrative assistant for a local utility company, she was born Nov. 30, 1933, in Cali, Colombia.

She is survived by her husband, James; one daughter, Diana Cardona-Sheehan; one sister, Nelly DeVisser; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be held in California. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Marc Hollis Denney

Marc Hollis Denney, 42, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Henderson. A lifelong resident of Southern Nevada, he was born Sept. 1, 1960, in Boulder City.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Roser of Las Vegas; his father and stepmother, Floyd R. and Anne Denney of Boulder City; one brother, Michael Denney of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Leslie Funk and Cherie Pesce, both of Henderson.

A memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. Friday at Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1.

Irwin 'Itzchak' Eisenstadt

Irwin "Itzchak" Eisenstadt, 74, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born June 5, 1928, in Poland. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired butcher for a kosher meat market.

He is survived by his wife, Devra; one daughter, Sharon Israel, and one son, Steven Eisenstadt, both of Henderson; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is private. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Genevieve C. Ellis

Genevieve C. Ellis, 74, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 23, 1928, in Illinois. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Ellis, Dennis Ellis and Michael Ellis, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Edward Cwik and Matt Cwik, both of Chicago; and two grandchildren.

Samantha Nicole Fuller

Samantha Nicole Fuller, 2, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 30, 2000, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Sharron and Glenn Fuller, and two brothers, Sean A. Fuller and Curtis J. Fuller, all of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

David Allen Gilliland

David Allen Gilliland, 56, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 12, 1946, in Iowa. A resident for one year, he was a security officer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Kelly Gilliland of San Diego and Damon Gilliland and Shawn Gilliland, and one daughter, Cynthia Gilliland, all of Colorado; and one grandchild.

Services will be in Colorado. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, is handling arrangements.

Verlie L. Greer

Verlie L. Greer, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 8, 1926, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 49 years, she was a retired hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by three sons, James Gordon, Jesse L. Greer and Alfonso Greer, and one sister, Easter Jenkins, all of Las Vegas; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled from 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Michael Hook

Michael Hook, 48, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 7, 1954, in Missouri. A resident for many years, he was a customer service representative for American Airlines.

He is survived by his wife, Rosetta; four sons, Shawn Hook and Patrick Hook, both of Missouri, Richard Knapp of Indiana and John Patterson of California; two daughters, Danielle Hook and Ninetee Knapp, one brother, Marty Hook, and one sister, Sharon Huffman, all of Missouri; and seven grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Ronald R. Kinshaw

Ronald R. Kinshaw, 59, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 8, 1943, in Los Angeles. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by his companion, Rena Vetuski of Las Vegas; and one cousin, Ronald L. Hinshaw of Redlands, Calif.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

William Richard Koch

William Richard Koch, 68, of Boulder City died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Sept. 24, 1934, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired Clark County firefighter and a member of the Lions Club.

He is survived by three sons, Richard Koch of Illinois, Ron Koch of Wyoming and John Koch of Nevada; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering was scheduled at 3 p.m. today at Two Gals restaurant, Boulder City. Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1, is handling arrangements.

William Landowski

William Landowski, 75, of Las Vegas died Nov. 5 in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 20, 1926, in Wisconsin. A resident for 21 years, he was a taxicab driver and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; and two brothers, Norman Landowski of Florida and Elmer Landowski of Wisconsin.

Rachel Miklovich

Rachel Miklovich, 31, of Las Vegas died Nov. 5 in Las Vegas. She was born June 25, 1971, in Michigan. A resident for 30 years, she was a grocery store cashier.

She is survived by her spouse, Regan; two sons, Richard Miklovich and Christian Britton; her mother, Melody; and two brothers, Josh Schuster and Brian Schuster, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation was scheduled 11 a.m. until a 12:30 p.m. service today in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park.

Geraldine Searcy

Geraldine Searcy, 65, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 4, 1937, in Rupert, Ga. A resident for 16 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by four daughters, Judy Collins, Sandra Searcy and Wendy Searcy, all of Las Vegas, and Wanda Whittaker of Columbia, S.C.; two sons, Ted Searcy of Ashland, Ala., and Wendell Searcy of Las Vegas; four sisters, Murner Pearson of Helfin, Ala., Vernor Simmons and Mary Wilson, both of Millerville, Ala., and Viola Ware of Lineville, Ala.; one brother, John L. Billingsley of Millerville; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Main.

Robert Sherrell

Robert Sherrell, 90, of Las Vegas died Nov. 8 in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 1912, in Arkansas. A resident for 18 years, he was a carpenter.

He is survived by two sons, Steve Ward of Los Angeles and Travis L. Webb of Las Vegas; one daughter, Jacqueline Adamson of Las Vegas; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Thursday in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams Ave. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, is handling arrangements.

Mary M. Spencer

Mary M. Spencer, 93, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 20, 1909, in Australia. A former Las Vegas resident for 17 years and most recently a current resident for four months, she was a retired military facility BX manager.

She is survived by one daughter, Zillah P. Sadove of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Lena Torres

Lena Torres, 70, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born Feb. 29, 1932, in Ely. A resident for 45 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Domingo Torres III of Boulder City and Ricky Torres and Eddie Torres, both of Henderson; two daughters, Cathy Quintana and Connie Scaringi, both of Henderson; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Pierre J. Watier

Pierre J. Watier, 35, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 8, 1967, in West Allis, Wis. A resident for seven years, he was a computer information technologist.

He is survived by his wife, Kris; his parents, Robert W. and Donna Watier, and one brother, Andre Watier, all of Apple Valley, Minn.

Edna Wiggins

Edna Wiggins, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 13, 1928, in Omega, La. A resident for 46 years, she was a hotel guest room attendant.

She is survived by one daughter, Georgia Lee Wiggins of Las Vegas; and one brother, James Wiggins of Tallulah, La.

Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 316 Madison Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
