StumbleUNLV women lead Founders tournament

The UNLV women's golf team holds the first-round lead at the Las Vegas Founders Women's Collegiate Showdown after carding a team 303 at the par-72 Anthem Country Club on Monday.
Led by four players in the top 20, the Rebels have a three-stroke advantage over Mountain West Conference rival New Mexico and a four-stroke lead on 13th-ranked Pepperdine.
BYU's Margaret Gibby made the most of the cold and sunny conditions, firing a tourney-best 73 to pace the field. She leads UNLV's Tina Mabanta by a single stroke.
The second round was scheduled for today.
