Letter: Tourist laments loss of airline
Monday, Nov. 11, 2002 | 9:08 a.m.
I'm sorry to say that I won't be vacationing in Las Vegas as much as I used to. I first visited your city on my 40th birthday, and in the next three years I have had seven incredible return trips.
One of the best parts of each trip was flying first class on National Airlines. The food was excellent and the attendants gracious.
I am very sad to see the end of National Airlines. They were in a class of their own. There is a great need for a "hometown" Las Vegas airline with good food, good people and affordable first class.
