Stanbrough earns No. 1 seed at PWBA event

Tiffany Stanbrough of Edmond, Okla., came on strong in the fourth round of the Storm Las Vegas PWBA Challenge to earn the No. 1 seed entering today's championship round at Texas Station.
Stanbrough completed the 42-game preliminaries with a 212 average, a 14-10 match play record and a 9,324 pinfall.
Brenda Norman of Indianapolis landed the No. 2 slot with 209.16, 16-8 and 9,265. Anne Marie Duggan of Edmond, Okla., secured the No. 3 seed with 209.35, 15-9 and 9,243, followed by Henderson's Wendy Macpherson and Kendra Gaines of Sebring, Fla.
The top five bowlers will compete in the stepladder finals today at noon, which will be taped by ESPN2.
