Theater
'Screwtape'
The musical "Screwtape," written by local composer Carol H. Blanton, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, and performances continue through Nov. 17 at the Nicholas Horn Theatre at Community College of Southern Nevada's Cheyenne campus, 3200 E. 'Savage'
"Savage," a play exploring the dark recesses of human behavior, will be staged at 8 p.m. today, Saturday and Wednesday and 2 p.m. Sunday, and performances continue through Nov. 17 at UNLV's Black Box Theatre. Admission is $7. 895-2787.
'Hamlet'
Las Vegas Little Theatre's 25th season showcases "I Hate Hamlet" at 8 tonight, through Nov. 17, with 2 p.m. Sunday matinees at Las Vegas Little Theatre, 3844 Shiff Drive. Admission is $13. 362-7996.
Disney musical
Disney's musical "Beauty and the Beast" will be performed at 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 and 8 p.m. Thursday, and performances continue through Nov. 17 at the Aladdin Theatre for the Performing Arts. Admission is $25 to 90. 785-5866.
Comedy

Musical salute
Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and the Nevada Chamber Symphony kicks off its 18th season with "Music With the Classic Touch" at 3 p.m. Sunday at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. Featured is a salute to the armed forces and classical favorites under the direction of conductor Rodolfo Fernandez. Admission is free, but reservations are suggested. 507-3459.
