Letter: Signs may help slow speeders
Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002 | 8:58 a.m.
Having spent a few days in Modesto, Calif., it was a pleasure to drive with so many courteous drivers.
No one was in such a big hurry to get to their destination. Possibly this is the reason: Signs posted at some intersections warned that a red-light violation is a $270 fine.
Could this be the answer to our problem of red-light runners who cause intersection accidents? I'm for it.
