High School: Durango ('02)
Where she is now: Lehigh
Class: Freshman
Sport: Volleyball
Currently: It didn't take long for Morgan Volkart to make an impact on the court at Lehigh. In her first year with the Mountain Hawks, the 6-foot outside hitter already owns the team lead in blocks with 112, a 1.11 per game average. Volkart has also tallied 196 kills (1.94 per game) to place fourth on the Lehigh squad, and her 32 aces rank third on the team. Volkart's impact can be seen in the standings as well, as the Mountain Hawks sport an 18-10 record and a 9-2 mark in Patriot League play.
Looking back: A key part of some successful Durango squads under coach Bob Kelly, Volkart played opposite and middle blocker for the Blazers. Durango claimed third place in the state tournament in 2000 and 2001 during Volkart's tenure. Volkart also excelled in the classroom at Durango, carrying a 3.9 grade point average and earning a scholar athlete award in 2001. Volkart also played for the Nevada Juniors club team.
