Gov. Kenny Guinn today announced the reappointment of Dr. Edwin Homansky of Las Vegas and Raymond "Skip" Avansino of Reno to the state athletic commission that regulates professional boxing.
Homansky has served since July 2000 and Avansino was appointed this year. Both were named to fill unexpired terms and now will have full three-year terms.
"Dr. Homansky and Skip Avansino bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the athletic commission," Guinn said. "I have known both of these gentlemen for many years and I have the utmost confidence in the job they do for the commission."
