Porsche exec appointed

Las Vegas gaming company Boyd Gaming Corp. has elected Frederick J. Schwab, president and chief executive officer of Porsche Cars North America Inc., to its board of directors.

Schwab, a certified public accountant, previously worked with highway tractor-trailer company Freuhauf Corp.

"Fred Schwab is an accomplished business professional credited with Porsche Cars North America's return to profitability," Boyd Gaming Chairman and Chief Executive Bill Boyd said. "Fred brings an adept understanding of business across a broad geographic area and is a welcome addition to our board of directors."
