Harvey James Besneatte

Harvey James Besneatte, 74, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born April 21, 1928, in Michigan. A resident for two years, he was a retired letter carrier and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Harvey Joseph, Dane Allen and Lonnie James; four daughters, Christine Marie, Stephanie Ann, Rebecca Lynn and Tanya Louise; one brother, Robert; three sisters, Shirley, Marguerite and Kathleen; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Eugene Bibbins Sr.

Eugene Bibbins Sr., 66, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in North Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 16, 1936, in Clayton, La. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired hotel chef.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; three daughters, Patricia Bibbins of Las Vegas and Freda McKnight and Angela Scott, both of North Las Vegas; four sons, Tony Pollard and Christopher Bibbins, both of Las Vegas, Eugene Bibbins Jr. of Milwaukee and Donald Bibbins of North Las Vegas; his mother, Lula Collins of Newellton, La.; one sister, Clara Robinson of Waterproof, La.; 21 grandchildren; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Roger L. Brown

Roger L. Brown, 45, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born May 23, 1957, in Billings, Mont. A resident for five years, he was a convenience store manager.

He is survived by his mother, Donna L. Brown of Henderson; one sister, Patti Brown of Brawley, Calif.; and one brother, James A. Brown of Kingman, Ariz.

Carol M. Collins

Carol M. Collins, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 22, 1939, in Tucson. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, William; two daughters, Maureen Fanion of Spokane, Wash., and Heather Stone of Cheney, Wash.; one son, Eric Collins of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

George Albert Daniels

George Albert Daniels, 74, of Henderson died Monday in Boulder City. He was born Jan. 12, 1928, in Washington state. A resident for one year, he was a construction supervisor.

He is survived by two sons, Clinton Daniels and George Daniels, both of Wyoming; three daughters, Rebecca Knudsen of Wyoming, Virginia Porath of Washington state and Ruth Thayer of Nevada; two sisters, JoAnn Daniels and Ruth Marino, both of Washington state; and 10 grandchildren.

Burial will be in Wyoming. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Patricia A. Deveaux

Patricia A. Deveaux, 65, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born March 22, 1937, in Milwaukee. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Jon; one son, David Davis of Topock, Ariz.; one stepson, Jon Jr. of Denver; two stepdaughters, Glenda Deveaux and Geraleen Ostrom, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Robert Kramer of Calimesa, Calif.; and two sisters, Audrie Bates of Vacaville, Calif., and DeLila Walker of Glenoma, Wash.

Rebecca Lynn Frassato

Rebecca Lynn Frassato, 14, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born July 26, 1988, in Henderson. A lifelong resident, she was an honor student at Charles A. Silvestri Junior High School.

She is survived by her parents, Brian and Lisa Frassato, and one brother, Shane Frassato, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Richard and Marilyn Frassato of Henderson, Ron Collins of Washington state and Judy Collins of Texas.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Katherine R. Goodwill

Katherine R. Goodwill, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 24, 1916, in Geneseo, Ill. A resident for 52 years, she was a retired food and cocktail waitress.

She is survived by one stepson, George Goodwill, one sister, Virginia Mook, and one brother, Quentin Rink, all of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 1-1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Private graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Manon A. Jacobs

Manon A. Jacobs, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born May 20, 1921, in Oakley, Idaho. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired schoolteacher.

She is survived by her husband, G. Clell; two sons, Gerald Clell and William Collin, and one sister, Delora Rassmussen, all of Las Vegas; one brother, William Dale Allred of Layton, Utah; and five grandchildren.

Joyce LaVee Marse, 63, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 31, 1939, in Pocahontas, Iowa. A resident for four years, she was a medical records technician, a Navy veteran and a member of Sweet Adelines.

She is survived by her husband, Jack L.; two sons, Jeff Anderson of Hastings, Neb., and Ryan Richardson of Las Vegas; two daughters, Debbie Dixon and Kayce Shepard, and two brothers, Gary Pervette and Larry Pervette, all of Hastings; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.

Amelia Martikan

Amelia Martikan, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 23, 1916, in Chicago. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Carrieri of Las Vegas and Phyllis Leslie of Hometown, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday and 8-10 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

Katera Ann Murphy

Katera Ann Murphy, 59, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 29, 1942, in Chicago. A resident for 25 years, she was a speech pathologist and assistive technologist for the Clark County School District.

She is survived by three sons, Keith Hemstreet of Los Angeles and Kevin Hemstreet and Kristopher Hemstreet, both of Phoenix; and one sister, Judee Mikolainis of Boulder City.

Mass and visitation will be 4-6 p.m. today in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Maurice Richard Olson

Maurice Richard Olson, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 2, 1927, in Buffalo Center, Iowa. A resident for 52 years, he was a retired Centel telephone supervisor, a World War II Navy veteran and firefighter, a member of the Knights of Pythias and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; two sons, Greg Olson of Henderson and Douglas Olson of Reno; one brother, Andrew Olson of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Eric H. Rose

Eric H. Rose, 76, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Nottingham, England. A resident for five years, he was a retired theater manager and a World War II Royal Navy veteran, a member of the Zelzah Shrine Temple in Las Vegas and the Moolah Shrine Temple in St. Louis.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; one son, Scott Rose of Fairview Heights, Ill.; one stepson, Joseph Zumsteg of Chicago; one stepdaughter, Kathy Juergens of Chesterfield, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

William W. Salsbury

William W. Salsbury, 87, of Las Vegas died Oct. 29 in a local care center. He was born Feb. 12, 1915, in Oklahoma. A resident for 37 years, he was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta; two sons, William P. Salsbury and Robert L. Salsbury, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Leonard Salsbury, and one sister, Susie, both of Oregon; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Jack W. Schilling, 91, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 11, 1911, in Grand Rapids, Mich. A resident for 25 years, he was a Wolverine and Hush Puppies brand shoe salesman for 30 years and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Kaye Brown of Marcellus, N.Y.; three stepsons, Ted Ewry and Fred Ewry, both of Las Vegas, and Bob Ewry of Vero Beach, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Darlene Knight of Dayton, Ohio, and Delphine Trowbridge of Burbank, Calif.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Sidney W. Stark, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 7, 1936, in Los Angeles. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired entrepreneur.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen Lee; one daughter, Beatrice Stark of Las Vegas; one son, Russell Stark of Shadow Hills, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Rhonda Sue Taylor, 51, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born Oct. 7, 1951, in Canyon, Texas. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired real estate executive.

She is survived by her husband, Max Wiley; two daughters, Mandy Lynne of North Las Vegas and Mitzi D. Stewart of Laughlin; two sons, Patrick D. Garrett of Shepherd, Mich., and David J.R. Inman of Phoenix; her mother, Florence Bauer of Las Vegas; one brother, John F. Bauer III of Pahrump; one sister, Connie Erbele of Mapleton, Ore.; and seven grandchildren.

Mary Lou Wilcox, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 16, 1936, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 33 years, she was a cashier for the Luxor's Hamada of Japan restaurant.

She is survived by her husband, Gary W.; three sons, David Hull, Sam Hull and John Hull, all of Las Vegas; three brothers, David Pavlesic of Houston and Mark Paulis and Bill Paulis, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Wendy Paulis of Los Angeles; 22 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
