Rodman, dealer settle lawsuit
Thursday, May 30, 2002 | 8:59 a.m.
CARSON CITY -- A settlement has been reached in the appeal of Dennis Rodman, who was ordered by a Clark County jury to pay $80,000 to a former craps dealer who said the former NBA star rubbed dice on dealer's head and groin.
The Nevada Supreme Court said Wednesday an agreement has been reached between the two parties, and Rodman's appeal to the court will be dismissed. Terms of the settlement were not made public.
The court said both Rodman and James Brasich, a former craps dealer at The Mirage, are to pay their own attorney fees and costs.
Rodman's attorney, Randall Jones, declined comment, and Brasich's lawyer, Michael Koning, was out of town and could not be reached.
Brasich of Henderson filed suit, claiming he was humiliated when Rodman, while playing craps, rubbed a pair dice on the dealer's head and groin.
Before the case progressed at the Supreme Court, the parties met with Settlement Judge M. Nelson Segel and an agreement was reached.
