I remember when we had a rightfully elected president, Bill Clinton, who was attacked for his participation in Memorial Day activities because he had not served in the military. The reports of Bush's participation this year, however, failed to mention his "service."
Bush was a member of the Texas Air National Guard who, without notice, failed to attend any training meetings for a year and a half. Had this happened anywhere but Texas, and to anyone but a Bush, it would have, and should have, been labeled and prosecuted as desertion.
