America West boosts Seattle service

Wednesday, May 29, 2002 | 10:50 a.m.

America West Airlines will add three nonstop, round-trip flights between Las Vegas and Seattle in September, the Tempe, Ariz.-based airline announced today.

The announcement comes on the heels of the Friday inauguration of Las Vegas-Seattle service by Las Vegas-based rival National Airlines.

America West currently serves the Seattle market from Las Vegas with connecting flights through Phoenix. In addition to National, Seattle is served nonstop by Southwest and Alaska airlines. With the three flights each added by National and America West, there will be 17 daily round trips to that market.
