Letter: Give CAT some competition

Isn't there someone who could attempt to give CAT some competition? After living in the Chicago area a big part of my life, and having the luxury of frequent ... very frequent buses coming along, I could not believe how terrible it is here in Las Vegas.

I never thought I would experience one-hour time lapses between rides. Many seniors no longer drive and need bus conveniences to get to doctors, stores, etc. The CAT Paratransit is so restrictive, it is really prohibitive for a fortunately well senior to get around.

So, how about another brave person to consider giving CAT some competition! How independent of them to strike now! Perhaps if they were not the only ones available, they would have had to think twice about this current inconvenience they have caused ... especially workers.
