StumbleUNLV’s Wickman earns Mountain West honor

UNLV leftfielder Joe Wickman was named Mountain West Conference reshman of the Year when the league's all-conference teams and postseason awards were announced Tuesday. Former UNLV player Reed Peters of Air Force was named Coach of the Year.
Wickman posted a league-record .490 batting average in his debut with the Rebels. He also earned a spot on the first team all-MWC squad.
UNLV begins conference tournament play today against Utah.
