Corine Carter-Ringer
Corine Carter-Ringer, 71, of North Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 17, 1930, in Louisiana. A resident for 60 years, she was a casino porter.
She is survived by two sons, Leon Carter Jr. of Tacoma, Wash., and Lonnie Ray Carter of Las Vegas; three daughters, Anna Carter, Barbara McCalister and Valina Carter, all of Las Vegas; four brothers, Mack Lucas of Reno, Elbert Holmes of Las Vegas, Luther Holmes of Los Angeles and Roy Lucas of Louisiana; seven sisters, Nora Kinsey, Louise Edwards, Florence Lucas and Vannie Davis, all of Las Vegas, Josephine Brown and Lula Lucas, both of Louisiana, and Rosie Holmes of Los Angeles; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-5 p.m. Friday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
Theodore H. Colehour
Theodore H. Colehour, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 31, 1924, in Las Vegas. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired purchaser in the construction industry, a World War II Navy veteran and past commander of American Legion Post 14.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; one son, David Colehour of Renchester, Wyo.; one daughter, Lynn Mantis of Las Vegas; two sisters, Dorothy Colehour and Dixie Lee McLaughlin, both of Menosha, Wis.; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
O.B. 'Brian' Elm
O.B. "Brian" Elm, 54, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 31, 1948, in San Fernando, Calif. A resident for two years, he was an audio-video engineer and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Linda E. Kushnieruk Elm; his father, Maurice O. Elm of Camarillo, Calif.; and three sisters, Janice Dillon Gardner of Eugene, Ore., and Janet A. Elm and Jennifer J. Bean, both of Valencia, Calif.

Evalyn S. Evans
Evalyn S. Evans, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 18, 1932, in Boise, Idaho. A resident for 21 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Willie John; two sons, Charles A. McCoy of Emmett, Idaho, and Donald R. McCoy of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; two daughters, Elna E. Milonas of Naples, Fla., and Sallie A. Crump of Las Vegas; one brother, John F. Ohlsson of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Thursday with a 5 p.m. service in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.
Margaret Jeannette Evans
Margaret Jeannette Evans, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local convalescent center. She was born Dec. 23, 1920, in Milton, Pa. A resident for three years, she was active in Southern California Lutheran Church organizations and was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Paul Watson Wagner of Orlando, Fla.; one daughter, Vicki M. Upton of Las Vegas; 24 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.
Linda M. Gilleard
Linda M. Gilleard, 55, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 12, 1946, in East Liverpool, Ohio. A resident for 32 years, she was an executive assistant at the convention center.
She is survived by one daughter, Ericka Renae Gilleard, and one son, Mark Alan Cross, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, June McVay and Lois Moore, both of East Liverpool; and one grandchild.

Frances Guido
Frances Guido, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A member of the 3rd Order of St. Francis Catholic Daughters of America, she was born Nov. 9, 1913, in New York City.
She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Beckwith of Las Vegas.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in New York. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Norman R. Hatfield
Norman R. Hatfield, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 25, 1931, in Oklahoma. A resident for 48 years, he was a retired casino slot director and a Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by one son, Ronald Hatfield of Oklahoma City; one stepdaughter, Raquel Huisman of Chandler, Ariz.; two stepsons, Michael Tassi of Henderson and Greg Tassi of Newport Beach, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at 2:40 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Linda Holley
Linda Holley, 53, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born March 28, 1949, in St. Louis. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Jason Bishop of Las Vegas and Dwayne Bishop of Lake Placid, Fla.; and one grandchild.

Anthony Ivins Johnson
Anthony Ivins Johnson, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 16, 1921, in Mesa, Ariz. A resident for seven years, he was a school administrator for the Needles (Calif.) Unified School District.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Lee; three sons, Anthony Wayne Johnson of Mesa, Gary Myers Johnson of Needles and Kevin Paul Johnson of Salt Lake City; four daughters, Laura Anne Leany of Riverton, Utah, Kathryn Marie DaMarto of Foster City, Calif., Pamela Jean Pulver of Logandale and Priscilla Kay Johnson of Las Vegas; three brothers, Dean Moroni Johnson and Julius Johnson, both of Mesa, and Leonard Johnson of Salt Lake City; four sisters, Ethlyn Madsen of Mesa, Priscilla Cahoon of Washington, Utah, and Karen Eastwood and Leah Arnette, both of Yakima, Wash.; 27 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the LDS chapel in Needles, Calif. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Needles. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Tove I. Keene
Tove I. Keene, 63, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 21, 1938, in Copenhagen, Denmark. A resident for 36 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Teresa Callahan of Pasadena, Calif.; her companion, Spencer Soffer of Las Vegas; her mother, Viola Nielsen, and one brother, Jon Nielsen, both of Denmark; and nine grandchildren.
American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.
Edward 'Shakey' Kozlowski
Edward "Shakey" Kozlowski, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 21, 1931, in Logans Ferry, Pa. A resident for 31 years, he was a dealer and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M.; one daughter, Denise Tomchek, and two sons, Edward J. Kozlowski Jr. and Timothy A. Kozlowski, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Bernard Kozlowski of Pittsburgh; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday with a 6 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Mass will be celebrated noon Friday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave.
Hope E. Lomax
Hope E. Lomax, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born June 15, 1923, in Nebraska. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired Clark County recorder's office clerk for 25 years and a member of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, Harold B.; three daughters, Kathleen Lomax of San Francisco, Jane Dale of Perris, Calif., and Ruth Frankenberg of Las Vegas; one sister, Phyllis Jones of Spokane, Wash.; six grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Lanny Ray McGowan
Lanny Ray McGowan, 53, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 24, 1949, in Mississippi. A resident for 10 years, he was an automobile plant worker and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his father, Willie D. Cooley; his mother, Precilla McGowan; two sons, Tracey Rogers of Las Vegas and Travia Rogers of Detroit; one brother, Lawrence McGowan of Detroit; and nine grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Detroit. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive.
Torne Raul Naranjo
Torne Raul Naranjo, 57, of Las Vegas died April 25 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 24, 1942, in Cuba. A resident for six years, he was a food and beverage kitchen porter.
He is survived by many family members, all of Cuba.
Visitation is scheduled 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services will be 9 a.m. Friday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Herman R. Odems
Herman R. Odems, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 5, 1921, in New York City. A resident for 80 years, he was a retired Department of Labor compliance officer and World War II Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Annella H.; one son, William Odems of Pasadena, Calif.; and two sisters, Gertrude Reid of the Bronx, N.Y., and Vivian Lemon of West Palm Beach, Fla.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Francisco M. Ramirez Jr.
Francisco M. Ramirez Jr., 64, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 3, 1937, in the Philippines. A resident for eight years, he was a retired Air Force captain and Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine; four sisters, Edith Acorn of Arizona, Mercy Peterson of Florida, Linda Hoskins of Illinois and Virginia Hastings of New Mexico; and two brothers, Dr. Archimedes Ramirez and Johnny Ramirez, both of California.
Visitation is scheduled 2-5 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Lisa Rowe, 36, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 4, 1965, in Hammond, Ind. A resident for 24 years, she was a gas company secretary.
She is survived by her husband, John David; two daughters, Amber Rowe and Melissa Rowe, her parents, William and Veronica Miller, one sister, Bonnie Teglia, and two brothers, Scott Miller and William Miller Jr., all of Las Vegas.

Curtis Rowell
Curtis Rowell, 81, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. A mechanic, assistant chief of the fire department in Honeoye, N.Y., and a member of the TTOS Train Club, he was born April 11, 1941, in New York.
He is survived by one son, Brian Rowell of New York; and two daughters, Janice Rowell of Las Vegas and Janis Rowell of New York.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 1:30 p.m. service Saturday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson.
James L. Simmons
James L. Simmons, 70, of Las Vegas died May 8 in Las Vegas. He was born May 12, 1931, in Minnesota. A resident for five years, he was a box office manager and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mavourneen.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Henry 'Heini' Sobel
Henry "Heini" Sobel, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born June 10, 1919, in Vienna, Austria. A resident for many years, he was a retired tennis pro.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Joseph J. Tortomas, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 25, 1920, in Brooklyn. A resident for 49 years, he was a retired craps dealer, a World War II Army veteran, a founding member of the Italian American Club and a member of the Sports Book Club.
He is survived by two sons, Anthony Tortomasi and Joseph Tortomasi; three daughters, Lois Panzer, Virginia York and Mary Tortomasi; one brother, Peter Tortomas; one sister, Peggy Boer; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
John Turnbull
John Turnbull, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born Sept. 8, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 41 years, he was a retired Chaparral High School teacher and a retired Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; one son, Steven; one daughter, Fiona; one sister, Barbara; and three grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Jeri; one daughter, Sachi Miranda, and one son, Ken Ushijima, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Ted Ushijima and Tad Ushijima, both of Los Angeles, and Fred Ushijima of Culver City, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin Julius; three sons, Chris Deitzen of Las Vegas, Mike Deitzen of Arizona and Bobby Wolff of California; two daughters, Kim Driscoll and Nancy Settlman, both of California; her parents, Alfred William and Ethel Donnally; one brother, Lynn Stevenson of California; two sisters, Sharon Congrove of Arizona and Debbie Rechert of California; and 10 grandchildren.
