Marian R. Bailey

Marian R. Bailey, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 7, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired government secretary and a member of the Eastern Star and Jeptha's Daughters.

She is survived by her husband, Charles S.; one daughter, Sherri Diaz of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled until 5 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Domenica H. Cardone

Domenica H. Cardone, 89, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 21, 1912, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for four years, she was a retired seamstress.

She is survived by one daughter, Carmella Librizzi of Las Vegas; two sisters, Clementina Cali and Nancy Taggart, both of New York state; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Lucille M. Clark

Lucille M. Clark, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 19, 1931, in Minnesota. A resident for 11 years, she was a hotel cashier and a retired member of the Culinary Union.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas A.; three daughters, Joy Patch, Terri Wright and Denise Keck, all of Minnesota; one brother, Jim Mely of Louisiana; and seven grandchildren.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.

Steven Lee Cole

Steven Lee Cole, 55 , of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 15, 1947, in New York City. A resident for nine years, he was a retired paint company owner-operator, a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars since 1970.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; one brother, Russell Cole of Manchester, Conn.; and one sister, Carol Faraci of East Hartford, Conn.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Mildred C. Elston

Mildred C. Elston, 87, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 27, 1915, in Little Rock, Ark. A resident for 49 years, she was a retired hostess and a member of the Culinary Union.

She is survived by one daughter, Nora Vyrftrcil of Newport Richie, Fla.; one son, Gene Perry of Las Vegas; one brother, John Brannan of Artois, Calif.; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Neil Howard Fulkerson

Neil Howard Fulkerson, 70, of Phoenix died Sunday in Phoenix. He was born Dec. 16, 1931, in Provo, Utah. A former resident of Las Vegas for 31 years, he was a regional sales manager at Southwest Gas Corp., started an excavation and grading business in 1978 and then an interstate trucking business prior to retiring.

He is survived by three sons, Craig Fulkerson, Kirk Fulkerson and David Fulkerson, all of Las Vegas; and two sisters, LoRee Schaeffer of Victorville, Calif., and Phyllis Beller of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Fulkerson requested his body be donated to science and his ashes spread in Utah, where he loved to hunt and fish.

Laura Mae Gogolya

Laura Mae Gogolya, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born July 6, 1926, in St. Joseph, Mo. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired cake decorator for Van De Camps Inc.

She is survived by one daughter, Laura Jean Gogolya of Mercer Island, Wash.; one son, Ronald Gogolya of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Betty Ammon and Mary Shaffer.

Frances Guido

Frances Guido, 88, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospice. A member of the 3rd Order of St. Francis Catholic Daughters of America, she was born Nov. 9, 1913, in New York City.

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Bechwith of Las Vegas and Jennie Sclafani of Columbia, Md.; two sons, Stephen Guido of Bethpage, N.Y., and Joseph Guido of Maspeth, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in New York. James Romanelli-Stephen Funeral Home, Ozone Park, N.Y., is handling arrangements.

Leonard Hammer

Leonard Hammer, 71, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1930, in Haverhill, Mass. A resident for eight years, he was a retired supervisor for a manufacturing firm and a Korean War Coast Guard veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Estelle; two sons, Alan Hammer of Brockton, Mass., and Barry Hammer of Camarillo, Calif.; one brother, Charles Hammer of Middleboro, Mass.; and three grandchildren.

Pearl Kamps

Pearl Kamps, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born March 30, 1924, in Wellington, Texas. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired executive secretary for Lockheed Aircraft.

She is survived by her husband, Edward J. Jr.; two sons, Lauris Long of Rochester, N.Y., and Edward Kamps of Fallon; and one daughter, Linda Emry of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-4 p.m. Thursday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.

Eugene T. Klimaszewski

Eugene T. Klimaszewski, of Henderson died Thursday in Henderson. He was born March 14, 1936, in Gary, Ind. A resident for six years, he was a retired sales representative in the hardware industry.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; two sons, Eugene Lewis Klimaszewski and Paul Eugene Klimaszewski; one sister, Dolly Churilla; and two grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Bernice M. Machacek

Bernice M. Machacek, 84, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 1, 1917, in Chicago. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Richard Machacek; two brothers, Lee Mize and Gene Mizera, and one sister, Helen Charvat, all of Chicago; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Clarence Dale Massey

Clarence Dale Massey, 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 14, 1936, in Sacramento. A resident for two years, he was an aerospace engineer with the federal government for 40 years, a chairman for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Legal Redress Committee, National Association of Minority Contractors and a counselor at the Orange County Mediation Center.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine "Gerri," and one son, R. Shawn Massey, both of Cypress, Calif.; three brothers, Charles Massey, Daney Massey and Klint Massey, all of Sacramento; one sister, Hope Jackson of Vallejo, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Cypress. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

John William Miano

John William Miano, 41, of North Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 19, 1960, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 18 years, he was a welder.

He is survived by two sons, Larry Miano and John Miano, both of Texas; his father, Walter Strel, his mother, Ann Cook, two brothers, Walter Miano and Michael Miano, two sisters, Toni Strel and Donna Stoneback, and his grandmother, Anna Goebel, all of Las Vegas.

Services were scheduled at 10:30 a.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by burial in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

David Earl Sheline

David Earl Sheline, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 19, 1927, in Flint, Mich. A resident for 40 years, he was a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. "Margie"; four sons, Bruce and Warren, both of Las Vegas, Jeff of Woodland, Calif., and Dan of Reno; three daughters, Renae of Salton City, Calif., Pamela of Beaver Dam, Ariz., and Connie of Granada Hills, Calif.; two sisters, Dorothy Sherwood of Maui, Hawaii, Vernita Watton of Pomona, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Nripendra Singh

Nripendra Singh, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 29, 1927, in India. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired attorney, a member of the Nevada Bar Association and former director of Clark County Legal Services.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; one son, Naresh P. Singh, M.D. of Las Vegas; and one grandson.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Ruth M. Thomas

Ruth M. Thomas, 91, of Las Vegas and Henderson died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 4, 1910, in Cavalier, N.D. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Red Cross.

She is survived by her husband, Roy; three daughters, Jan Thomas of Albuquerque and Terry Abbott and Valerie Fox, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Jim Hall and Jack Hall, and two sisters, Dorothy Brunson and Chere Gundert, all of California; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
