Letter: U.N. biased against Israel
Tuesday, May 21, 2002 | 8:50 a.m.
I am responding to the May 1 editorial, "Finding out truth not high on the list": I agree that the United Nations is biased against Israel and that Israel had the right to block an investigation.
Not only is the U.N. biased, but there has been no evidence that supports what they are seeking to be true! They have evidence of the Palestinian suicide bombings, and yet haven't looked into those, so why should they look into unsupported allegations against Israel?
The United Nations should investigate both sides of the Israel/Palestine conflict and remain neutral between the two countries. When appointing people to investigating teams, they should not include people who have spoken out against the country they are investigating. By just using common sense and fairness, a lot of problems could be avoided.
