Theater
Plays staged
Las Vegas Little Theatre, 3844 Schiff Drive, presents the musical comedy "Growing Up Naked," at 8 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Performances continue Thursday through May 26 and May 30 through June 2. Tickets are $13; $11 for seniors and students.
Also at the theater, "The Insomniac Project -- Midnight Snacks," will be staged at midnight today, 1 a.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday. Performances continue at midnight May 24, 1 a.m. May 25 and 7 p.m. May 26. Tickets are $5. Call 362-7996.
Theatre in the Valley presents the play "Painting Churches" at 8 p.m. today, Saturday and Thursday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Valley View Recreation Center, 500 Harris St. in Henderson. Patriotic programs
The Nevada Humanities Committee's Chautauqua Program presents the program "Inventing America." Performances include George Frein as John Adams and Clay Jenkinson as Thomas Jefferson at 7 p.m. today at Sun City McDonald Ranch Community Center, 2000 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway in Henderson; a roundtable discussion with all chautauqua performers at 10 a.m. Saturday; "Meeting of Minds" with performers in costume at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Community College of Southern Nevada's Cheyenne campus, room 1430; and Fred Krebs as Benjamin Franklin at 10 a.m. Sunday at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Las Vegas, 3616 E. Lake Mead Blvd.

Ballet events
Nevada Ballet Theatre's 30th season concludes with "A World Premier Evening," a program of works from Korea's James Jeon to George Balanchine's "Allegro Brillante," at 8 p.m. today and Saturday, with 2 p.m. matinees on Saturday and Sunday at UNLV's Judy Bayley Theatre. Symphony performs
The Las Vegas Civic Symphony will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday at Reed Whipple Cultural Center, 821 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Admission is free, but tickets are required. Call 229-6211.
Jazz concert

Choir performs
Las Vegas High School's show choir, Spectrum, will celebrate its 25th anniversary by performing its annual spring concert at 7 p.m. today and Saturday at the campus' Frank Brusa Theatre, 6500 E. Sahara Ave. Admission is $4; $3 for students. Call 799-0180.
Human emotions
