Cincinnati grocery giant Kroger Co., which in Las Vegas owns Smith's Food & Drug Stores Inc. and Food 4 Less stores, was named one of America's "100 Best Corporate Citizens" by Business Ethics -- a magazine that highlights corporate social responsibility.
Kroger, which operates 2,418 stores, said the list honors companies that "do the best job serving employees, stockholders, customers, women and minorities, the community and the environment."
