NEVADA DIVISION OF WILDLIFE
Fishing has been good during the past week in Lake Mead for striped bass and channel catfish. Some of the better action has been found in the Overton Arm.
Boaters who have been drifting bait have had good to excellent success for stripers and catfish on the east side of Fish Island and in the Virgin Bowl in the Overton Arm. The Meat Hole and Stewart's Point have also been good while shore fishing has been fairat Overton Beach.
Boaters who have been on the water in the Boulder Basin have been successful recently in Las Vegas Bay, the tires at Las Vegas Bay Marina, Hatchery Cove, Saddle Cove and Sand Island. The cove immediately south of Callville Bay Marina has been productivefor stripers recently.
Fishing and chumming with anchovies has been the most productive method of catching stripers. Anglers should be very attentive to any tension on their lines because bites have been very gentle.
