Letter: Ex-president’s speech excellent
Wednesday, May 15, 2002 | 9:13 a.m.
A special thank-you to Barbara Greenspun and the Greenspun family for bringing former President Bill Clinton to the Greenspun Lecture Series at UNLV.
Clinton's speech was excellent. The crowd of 6,000 was full of enthusiasm, warmth and support for the former president.
It saddens me that during Clinton's years in the White House the media dwelled so much on "trivia" rather than his accomplishments in our country and international affairs.
I was pleased to read Brian Greenspun's May 5 Where I Stand column in the Las Vegas Sun. Thank you for setting the record straight. The Review-Journal's review of the Clinton speech was embarrassingly biased, opinionated and less than satisfactory.
