Tech event in Vegas postponed
Tuesday, May 14, 2002 | 11:03 a.m.
A worldwide developer conference scheduled by Hewlett-Packard Corp. at the Las Vegas Hilton has been postponed a second time.
Invent 2002, a four-day technology event scheduled to begin May 28, originally had been booked at the hotel in November, but was postponed following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Customers said they couldn't afford the $1,000 admission fee for the rescheduled event because of tough economic times.
A Hewlett-Packard spokeswoman said no new date has been set.
The hotel-casino expected 800 to 1,000 people at the event.
