John N. Barratt Sr.
John N. Barratt Sr., 64, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born Sept. 14, 1937, in Oberlin, Kan. A Clark County resident for 16 years, he was a retired federal government civil engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Myrna; one son, John Barratt Jr. of Henderson; three daughters, Robyn Meyer of Central City, Neb., Rebecca Gee of Silver Creek, Neb., and Kimberly Bolton of Henderson; one brother, Jerry Barratt of Takemah, Neb.; two sisters, Geraldine Anderson of Holdrege, Neb., and Karen Dack of McCook, Neb.; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Warm Springs Baptist Church, 2075 W. Warm Springs Road. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Beverly A. Cambio
Beverly A. Cambio, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 27, 1933, in Rockland, Maine. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Las Vegas Women's Bowling Association and the Southern Nevada Alliance of Youths of America Bowling Association,
She is survived by two daughters, Maryanne Cambio and Sharlene Cambio, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Marion Banks and Noreen Faber, both of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and one brother, Michael Banks of Alaska.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd.
Kevin Edward Campbell
Kevin Edward Campbell, 29, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Oct. 16, 1972, in Ohio. A resident for 26 years, he was a salon business owner.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Thomas Campbell; one son, Keeghan; his parents, Ed and Caryl Campbell; one brother, Tim Campbell; and two sisters, Tatum and Lilly.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Green Valley Lutheran Church, 1799 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Wilma Francis
Wilma Francis, 75, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A beautician, she was born Nov. 4, 1926, in Delhi, La.
She is survived by one brother, Albert Kilgore.
Visitation was scheduled 1-2 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in California.
Frank Hall Gafford
Frank Hall Gafford, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 31, 1936, in Charleston, S.C. A resident for 31 years, he was a librarian at Community College of Southern Nevada and began his college career in 1971 when there were only eight books in the college library. He was a member of the American Library Association, Nevada Museum of History, Las Vegas Numismatic Society, Las Vegas Battle Club and Cola Clan (a national organization for people interested in Coca Cola's history).
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Michelle Gafford of Las Vegas and Georgette Gafford of Wisconsin; and one sister, Jeanne Humphreys of Denton, Texas.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 4 p.m. memorial service Friday in First Presbyterian Church, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Donations are requested for the Nevada SPCA.
Kenneth Arlan 'Kal' Kalnasy
Kenneth Arlan "Kal" Kalnasy, 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 7, 1932, in Detroit. A resident for 15 years, he was an author of "Korea, the Last of the Fun Wars," a Marine Corps veteran, 1st Marine Division Association, Disabled American Veterans Association, Chosen Few, Korean War Veterans Association, Marine Corps League and Pekingese Rescue Association.
He is survived by his wife, Anette; three daughters, Cynthia Lester of Virginia, Gillette L. Kurant of Florida and Kathleen Nance of Hawaii; four sons, Michael A. Kalnasy and Kevin K. Kalnasy, both of Michigan, Steven Kalnasy of Hawaii and Timothy Kalnasy of Las Vegas; one sister, Jackie Zelasko of Mississippi; one brother, Ronnie Kalnasy of Ohio; and 14 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Cindy Anne Lee
Cindy Anne Lee, 45, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born March 28, 1957, in Worcester, Mass. A resident for one year, she was a cashier.
She is survived by one son, Timothy Ray Lee of Las Vegas; her parents, Beatrice and Raymond Lamoine Sr. of Moreno Valley, Calif.; two brothers, Raymond Lemoine Jr. of Ontario, Calif., and Gary Lemoine of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Thursday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will follow at noon Thursday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Margaret J. Little
Margaret J. Little, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 15, 1917, in London. A resident for 44 years, she was a retired Sands hotel assistant housekeeper and a longtime member of the Culinary Union.
She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Middleton of Kanab, Utah; one son, Michael Little, and one sister, Barbara Pocock, both of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Carol Olieta Long
Carol Olieta Long, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Feb. 2, 1934, in Oakland, Calif.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; two sons, Dennis Long of San Diego and Donald Michael Long of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kelly Ann Hanna of Las Vegas; one brother, Richard Clemenson of Venice, Calif.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Ida McIntyre
Ida McIntyre, 82, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A resident for two years, she was born May 11, 1914, in Jonesville, Miss.
She is survived by two daughters, Dolores Ramsey of Las Vegas and Susie L. Williams of Chicopee, Mass.; three sons, Isaac McIntyre and Ernest L. McIntyre, both of St. Louis, and Willie McIntyre of Chicago; one sister, Necie Brown of Fairspoint, Miss.; 34 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to an 11 a.m. service Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Susie T. Medina
Susie T. Medina, 71, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born May 8, 1931, in El Rito, N.M. A resident for 47 years, she was a retired elementary school teacher, a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Teacher's Sorority, Nevada State Textbook Commission, National Association of Federal Retired Employees, Ladies Auxiliary of Knights of Columbus, and member of the Spanish Choir and Rosary Guild and Homebound Community minister at St. Peter's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Gilbert N.; two daughters, Anita Diaz and Letitia Worth, both of Henderson; three sisters, Margaret Lucero and Angela Ortiz, both of El Rito, and Drucella Pedroza of Henderson; six brothers, Peter Trujillo of San Juan Pueblo, N.M., Ray Trujillo of Albuquerque, Robert Trujillo and Mario Trujillo, both of El Rito, Eloy Trujillo of Garden Grove, Calif., and Andrew Trujillo of Taos, N.M.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday with a 6:30 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Patrick 'Big Pat' Melia
Patrick "Big Pat" Melia, 41, of Las Vegas died Thursday in North Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 12, 1961, in Bridgeport, Conn. A resident for 22 years, he was a craps dealer.
He is survived by his mother, Joan Melia of Las Vegas.
Visitation was scheduled noon until a 5 p.m. memorial service today in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Burial will be private.
Ruth Estelle Parvin
Ruth Estelle Parvin, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Nov. 21, 1919, in Los Angeles. A resident for 47 years, she was a cashier.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; three daughters, Elaine Harris of Rockville, Utah, and Anne Davison and Maryanne Cleveland, both of Las Vegas; one son, Harley Parvin of Las Vegas; one sister, Lois Stang of St. Maries, Idaho; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Brandon M. Pierce, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 16, 1931, in Cisco, Texas. A resident for 41 years, he was a radio technician at Frontier Radio and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Virgie; one daughter, Imogene Kelley, and one son, Olin Pierce, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Imogene Brannan of San Diego; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mildred Savetsky
Mildred Savetsky, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. She was born Feb. 3, 1928, in Cleveland. A resident for eight years, she was a retired bank teller.
She is survived by her husband, Irving; one son, Lee Kolinsky of Rochester, N.Y.; one sister, Noreen Sheahan of Santa Ynez, Calif.; and one brother, Sanford Levy of Florida.
Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Richard King Schrader
Richard King Schrader, 70, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 1, 1931, in San Antonio. A resident for 10 years, he was a plant manager for a chemical company.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Pat and Mike, both of St. Louis; one daughter, Donna Eggemeyer of Las Vegas; four brothers, Mark of Connecticut, Jack of California and Bob and Bill, both of St. Louis; one sister, Mary Carol of St. Louis; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be in Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam, Henderson. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Gene Jerome Smith
Gene Jerome Smith, 44, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born June 14, 1957, in Henderson. A lifelong resident, he was a gardener.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Roene; three daughters, Lilia Rose Smith, Natalie Marie Smith and Melinda Grace Smith, four sons, Chance Christian Smith, Daniel Andrew Smith, David Larkin Smith and Jesse Gene Smith, and his parents, Larkin and Genevieve Smith, all of Henderson; five sisters, Annalee Bunch of St. George, Utah, Danne Morris of Alpine, Utah, Penny Taylor and Lorri Bradshaw, both of Parowan, Utah, and Teddy Sue Ludlow of Paragonah, Utah; two brothers, Vae Don Smith of Las Vegas and Chris L. Smith of Pahrump.

Steven Szostek
Steven Szostek, 63, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 5, 1939, in Detroit. A resident for 22 years, he was a warrant officer for the North Las Vegas Detention Center, an Air Force veteran, a former fire investigator for the North Las Vegas Fire Department, a retired Detroit firefighter and a member of the Polish National Organization.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; six sons, Matthew Szostek of Rio Rancho, N.M., Mark Szostek of Red Oak, Texas, Michael Szostek, Steven Szostek Jr. and Joe Hutardo, all of Las Vegas, and Tom Lewicki of Ruidoso, N.M.; three daughters, Stephanie Lewicki of Ruidoso and Lisa Larson and Michelle Hutardo, both of Las Vegas; one stepson, Brent Jennings of Los Angeles; one brother, Edward Szostek of St. Louis; three sisters, Stella Dortning of Branson, Mo., Helen Brier of St. Claire Shores, Mich., and Louise Carlisi of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.
Joseph Henry Wickman Jr.
Joseph Henry Wickman Jr., 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 9, 1922, in Mount Harris, Colo. A resident for 56 years, he was a retired sheet metal worker, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union.
He is survived by one daughter, Linda Swalander of New Mexico; one stepdaughter, Judy Michaels of Henderson; one sister, Margorie Morris; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Lorraine M. Willet, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 6, 1911, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Chuck Lee of Las Vegas; one sister, Leola Stern of Burbank, Calif.; one brother, Larry Boeck of Kona, Hawaii; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in San Diego.
Loren Dean 'Ty' Wittman
Loren Dean "Ty" Wittman, 38, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A resident for 20 years, he was born May 9, 1964, in Hutchinson, Kan.
He is survived by his mother, Judi M. Wittman of Las Vegas; his father, Fred Wittman of Mesquite; and one brother, Bryan Wittman of Henderson.
