BC councilman tries for Assembly

Boulder City Councilman Joe Hardy filed Friday to run for state Assembly.
The 52-year-old Republican is a family physician who was elected to the City Council in 1999.
He is running in District 20 -- a seat encompassing Boulder City and parts of Henderson.
Former Democratic Assemblywoman Gene Segerblom has also filed to run for District 20. Segerblom lost her 2000 re-election bid in District 22 to Henderson lawyer David Brown, a Republican.
